Benjamin experienced a fame-gaining career right from the start of his career. Starting his career in the late 90s, gaining success was only a matter of time for such a talented man.
He was making his appearances in the Hollywood industry as a star in numerous films and television series including, Police Story, Traffic, Miss Congeniality, Law & Order, Blood in Blood Out, and many others.
It was the period of the late 90s that Benjamin was seen in so many movies that one might lose count.
As a result, he was considered one of the best during his active years. Gaining fame and wealth was the real progress in his life. In addition, he was dating Julia Roberts and was in the spotlight.
However, everything changed when he was a married person and more to say, after being a father.
Benjamin Bratt, A Family Man
Benjamin married an actress Talisa Soto on April 13, 2002. And talking about his lifetime achievement, he has invited two children, a son, Mateo Bravery Bratt, and a daughter Sophia Rosalinda Bratt.
Looking back to his married life Benjamin quoted,
“We’re going on our eighth year of our marriage and it feels like six months because we’re so aligned.”
In 2008, he shared the news that his daughter was suffering from physical disabilities as a result of a brain injury. This was shocking news that he never heard or told anybody.
So no further explanation was required to discuss his lost appearances.
It has always been true that a man loved his family greater than his fame. And after all, Benjamin is just a human who loves his family.
In an interview, he described parenting as,
“Parenting informs the work, enriches it. The stakes are much higher on every level. The work that you choose will draw you away from that which you care for most, your family, and gets a whole new scrutiny.”
He was bound to spend his time with his family especially his daughter. So he has personally admitted his reason for not being active in Hollywood is his own decision which was more than obvious for a father to take in such a scenario.
He personally quoted,
“cannot be a great husband and father, especially the father of a child with special needs.”

Recent Works
However, he has not led his fans in the complete misery of his absence. He has made some appearances in movies including, Despicable Me 2, and Doctor Strange. Also, he has been promoting the documentary, Dolores.
In addition, he has recently provided his voice in the animated movie Coco. Not only this, he is an active philanthropist.
