  • Singer Aaron Carter died without writing a will.
  • The singer’s estate now can be handled by the Californian state.
  • Carter died in his California home at the age of 34 earlier this month.

Aaron Carter never got to write a will for his son, Prince

Now that Aaron Carter is no more, his estate will likely go into the hands of the State of California.

The late star, who mysteriously passed away at the age of 34 in his bathtub in his California home on November 5, did not leave a will behind.

Carter’s lawyers reportedly advised him to draw up a will after his son, Prince, who is now 11 months old, was born. Carter welcomed the baby with his on/off fiancee Melanie Martin in November 2021.

The singer, however, never thought it necessary to write a will. Maybe it was because he never thought he’d die so soon.

The California succession laws suggest that Prince will likely inherit his father’s property as the I Want Candy singer was unmarried at the time of his demise.

The L.A. County Dept. of Children and Family Services removed Prince from the house of his parents because of their ongoing fight and domestic violence accusations.

Martin’s mother has been taking care of the child since September.

Carter tried his best to be sober after Martin’s mom received custody of his son. He tried to make amends with his estranged family members and even joined voluntary rehab hoping to win the custody of his son.

Aaron never wanted his memoir to be public

It also recently became public that the Aaron’s Party singer tried his best to stop the book publisher from releasing his controversial memoir before his death.

The late singer’s publicist said:

”Aaron, in the midst of working on the book said,’ I want nothing to do with this’ and stopped, so the fact that the publisher is saying it’s green-lit, it’s not. That’s against Aaron’s wishes.”

Prior to its release, the memoir titled Aaron Carter: An Incomplete Story of an Incomplete Life is already in trouble. It claims that Carter spent one night in Michael Jackson‘s house where he saw the musician in tighty-whitey underwear.

Another controversial excerpt from the book claims that Aaron, who once dated Hilary Duff in his teenage years, claimed to have taken her virginity when she was only 13 years old.

Duff quickly slammed the disgusting memoir by saying:

”It’s really sad that within a week of Aaron’s death, there’s a publisher that seems to be recklessly pushing a book out to capitalize on  this  tragedy without taking appropriate time or care to fact check the validity of his work.”

”To water down Aaron’s lifes tory to what seems to be unverified click-bait for profit is disgusting.”

Aaron died tragically as officials found his body near multiple cans of compressed air and prescription pill bottles, per the police report.

The official cause of the star’s death is still pending due to toxicology reports.
