Aaron Carter wanted to live a long, happy life
An emotional video that surfaced after Aaron Carter, 34, died at his California home is making fans extremely sad.
The singer who tragically passed away at such a tender age once revealed in an interview that dying young was his biggest fear.
During a 2017 appearance on The Doctors, Dr. Travis Stork asked Carter about his greatest fear to which the late actor revealed:
“Not being able to live as long as I can. That’s my greatest fear,”
The interviewer also asked the Aaron’s Party Singer about overdosing after his sister Leslie died of a drug overdose in 2012 when she was just 25.
He said at the time:
“I mean there’s always that worry, but there’s also the fact that I had to kiss my sister goodbye in the coffin,”
“I had to kiss her right on her cheek and I kept kissing her. That was a scary thing.”
The former child actor continued:
“My family knows — before I did the show ‘The Doctors’ — that I was taking Xanax and stuff like that. [But] I know that there is no happy ending to any of those medications.”

Carter lived his last years battling drug addiction and family trauma
Carter’s body was found on Saturday morning in a bathtub at his California home. Investigations are in full swing to determine what caused the death of Carter.
His rep told:
“Aaron worked very hard towards the end of his life in recovery, to be a good father and to make amends with his family,”
Aaron and Melanie who dated on and off since 2019, got engaged in 2020 and welcomed a son, Prince, in 2021.
Carter, the younger brother of Backstreet Boys icon Nick Carter lived his final years battling addiction and family trauma.
Just in September, the I Want Candy hitmaker confessed that he voluntarily checked into an outpatient program at a rehab center hoping to win the custody of his infant son.
Martin was also sobbing outside her fiancee’s home and also shared a TikTok video of herself crying in her car before the news became public.
In a statement, the model later said:
“We are still in the process of accepting this unfortunate reality,”
“Your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated.”
Many celebrities including Carter’s ex-Hilary Duff and his big brother Nick also offered their condolences to the late singer.
In a touching tribute, the Lizzie McGuire alum, 34, wrote:
“For Aaron- I’m deeply sorry that life was so hard for you and that you had to struggle in-front of the whole world,”
“You had a charm that was absolutely effervescent … boy did my teenage self love you deeply.”
