Adam Wakefield engaged Jenny Leigh

It was a joyous occasion for the couple Adam Wakefield and Jenny Leigh. Adam popped the question to Jenny recently at a lakeside restaurant in Maryland. The couple was on a vacation with the family there. And the beauty accepted his marriage proposal. It was very romantic!

Adam said:

“I knew I wanted to propose to Jenny in front of her family,”

“They’re such great people, and I already feel like they treat me like family. I was originally going to put it in a crab shell, but luckily I was talked out of that one.”

Further, Adam narrated:

“The most important thing was that I wanted to surprise her,”

“She had no idea it was coming, so I think I got her pretty good.”

The engagement ring

Adam, 38 hunted for a unique engagement ring. In this, he took the assistance of Craig Wayne Boyd who is his fellow The Voice alum. The engagement ring is different. It is a black diamond halo ring. It managed to impress Jenny who liked it outright. She said:

“He done good! I’ve always been attracted to darker diamonds but had/have little knowledge about rings — so little, in fact, that I thought my ring size was two sizes bigger than it actually is, so we have some adjustments to make.”

Jenny is an actress and a singer. Her recent appearances include in CMT’s Nashville and Lifetime’s Patsy & Loretta. The two met first nine years back. This first meeting was at a music festival in Baltimore. On learning that Jenny also is into singing, Adam invited her to attend a recording session. He asked her to join some gang vocals.

Did Jenny go for the gang vocals?

Adam recalled:

“None of the other vocalists showed up so she ended up doing the part by herself. I remember from the first note she sang, my — and everyone else’s in the room — jaw dropped. I said then and there that I was going to marry her someday.”

Thoughts of dating at first never occurred to them and their meeting was an organic one. Jenny added:

“Our musical connection intensified our bond and continues to do so. But most of all, life just wouldn’t feel right without each other in it.”

Due to coronavirus lockdown, both had to stop work like everyone. Hence they got more time for each other. They grew closer and their bond strengthened. Adam said:

“It’s been a blessing — except maybe for all the time we spent trying to find a store that had toilet paper. We truly are best friends and love spending time and making music together as much as ever.”

They cook together and have date nights and dinners at home. Jenny said:

“Our love is comfortable, and fun, and there’s no one else we’d rather spend time with than each other.”
