Adidas drops Kanye West after immense public pressure amid his hateful comments
Adidas did exactly what Kanye West said they’d never do. Yes, the world-famous athletic company has ended its partnership with West after he made non-stop anti-Semitic comments.
In an official statement released on Tuesday, the company said:
“Adidas does not tolerate antisemitism and any other sort of hate speech,”
“Ye’s recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful and dangerous, and they violate the company’s values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness.”
Adidas finally decided to cut off links with Ye’s brand Yeezy after putting the situation under review in early October. It happened after the rapper, 45, wore a controversial White Lives Matter T-shirt to a fashion show in Paris and continued to wear it.
At the time, Adidas shared a statement that read:
”After repeated efforts to privately resolve the situation, we have taken the decision to place the partnership under review,”
“We will continue to co-manage the current product during this period.”
The company’s decision to drop West from the contract comes after the mounting public backlash it received because of the rapper. Many celebrities including West’s ex-wife Kim, and her family members also took to Instagram to show their support for the Jewish community.

Kanye lost his cool after Adidas’ strict actions against him
West was confident that the label would never drop him but didn’t take the decision kindly and responded:
“F—K ADIDAS I AM ADIDAS ADIDAS RAPED AND STOLE MY DESIGNS.”
The rapper’s relationship with Adidas and the fashion world soured after he vowed to go death con 3 on Jewish people. His hateful comments immediately got him banned from Twitter and Instagram.
The Love Lockdown singer also bashed the Jewish media for reportedly silencing him. Furthermore, he posted a screenshot of his text messages with Diddy where he said:
“This ain’t a game. Ima use you as an example to show the Jewish people that told you to call me that no one can threaten or influence me.”
Not only Adidas but also Vogue and Balenciaga have cut ties with West. The rapper, however, maintains that he will never stop speaking his mind.
The Flashing Lights rapper said:
“I ain’t losing no money,”
“The day I was taken off the Balenciaga site, that was one of the most freeing days.”
He continued:
“We here, baby, we ain’t going nowhere.”
