Aiden Fucci stabbed Tristyn Bailey 114 times
Aiden Fucci’s murder of Tristyn Bailey was brutal would be an understatement. According to police reports, on the night of her murder, a friend stated that Fucci asked for her phone number. He persuaded her to leave her home and meet him at a friend’s house.
CCTV footage from a house captured Fucci and Bailey, walking towards a retention pond on Saddlestone Drive, the area where Trystan’s body was later found.
An hour and 45 minutes later, the footage shows him returning alone, carrying his shoes. An autopsy report revealed that Bailey had 114 stab wounds on various parts of her body, including many defensive wounds.
Aiden Fucci denies that he stabbed her
According to Aiden’s arrest report, he admitted to being with her at a mutual friend’s house and leaving with her around 1:10 a.m. on May 9, 2021. He claimed that he arrived at his home on Castledale Court at approximately 3:30 a.m. and in between that time, he just walked around.
However, an investigator claimed that his statements were inconsistent regarding the events that occurred that night. Eventually, he confessed that he argued with Bailey, which led to him pushing her to the ground which caused her to hit her head.

The evidence that led to his arrest
Several shreds of evidence were found that led to the arrest of Aiden Fucci. A buck knife with a missing tip was discovered in the pond near Tristyn’s body, which matched a fragment found in her scalp. That knife was identified as belonging to Fucci.
Moreover, there is also security footage and DNA evidence, in addition to wet shoes and clothing with blood on them found in his room. Blood and dirt were found on the drain near the bathroom sink, and wet jeans were found in a laundry basket.
When investigators searched Fucci’s room, they found an empty knife sheath along with a notebook containing violent drawings.
Further evidence included emails, Snapchats, cellphone records, recorded phone calls and texts from jail, and interviews with friends, family, teachers, and fellow inmates which all led to the same conclusion.
Fucci’s mom was also arrested for tampering with evidence
Crystal Lane Smith, Aiden’s mom, was seen on CCTV surveillance at their home the day after the murder. She appeared to take a pair of jeans from her son’s bedroom and brought them to the adjacent bathroom.
The footage also showed her scrubbing the jeans. Later that night, the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office held Aiden and his parents in a recorded holding room.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Crystal asked him if he was sure that there was nothing on his clothes from the previous night.
Fucci responded, “I don’t think so, why?” The warrant revealed that she gave him a questioning look and whispered “Blood.”
During a search warrant, police found the jeans in Fucci’s bedroom, which tested positive for having traces of blood.
Moreover, the bathroom sink drain was also found to contain blood. In June, a charge of tampering with evidence led to her arrest.
