Amanda Stanton: her slamming of social media mom shamers, and an insight into her marriage, divorce and her relationships!
Amanda slams mom-shamers
Recently people on social media had commented about American actress Amanda Stanton’s parenting. She took to Instagram to address these mom-shamers. She wrote:
“I don’t normally like to address the trolls / mom shamers … but it’s so out of control! I’d like to take a moment to clarify first of all that my kids DO have a father that is part of their life. They spend time with him too. So if you see a photo of me without my kids one weekend and comment something like ‘mother of the year’ or ‘wow shouldn’t she be with her kids?’ Well, there’s a VERY good chance that I can’t be with them because they’re with their dad.”
She continued:
“As far as Bachelor in Paradise goes, it doesn’t film for very long at ALL. I know it airs for 2 months … but it actually takes a lot less than that to film it.”
She added:
“I am fortunate enough to be able to work from home and spend more time with my kids than most parents. I understand that most parents don’t go on reality TV shows … but everyone’s lives are different. … My kids are my entire world. I am doing my best to give them a great life.”
Amanda Stanton has 2 daughters, Charlie, and Kinsley with her ex-husband Nick Buonfiglio. She was married to Nick from 2012-2015. While she is filming, Amanda’s kids are either with their dad with whom she has joint custody of the kids, or their grandparents.
Amanda’s posts were before the suspension of the filming for season 4 ‘Of Bachelor in Paradise’ due to alleged sexual misconduct between Corinne Olympios and DeMario Jackson. A source revealed to US Weekly on 12th June 2017:
“The cast is basically in the dark about what happened and they are not being told anything. They were all excited for this season and to get to know each other. They were all getting along with each other well.”
Amanda’s love life
Amanda Stanton had married Orange County native Nick Buonfiglio in October 2012.
However, it was possibly the young age and early start of a family that took its toll on the relationship. Recently, Nick claimed that their relationship did not last since they had married young and had poor communication between them. Besides, he disclosed that Amanda had a very emotional side. He said:
“She tends to get stressed out pretty easily. She can get high anxiety. When we were together, she got very frantic sometimes.”
The couple divorced in December 2014, citing the usual ‘irreconcilable differences’. They gained joint custody of their daughters and they had to share the holidays as well with the children. She then appeared on season 20 of ‘The Bachelor’ and tried to compete for the heart of Ben Higgins but could not win.
She then switched to ‘The Bachelor in Paradise show and dated Nick Viall for a while before turning her attention to Josh Murray. Her first date with Josh Murray was the best in her life and she considers it unforgettable. Amanda Stanton accepted Josh Murray’s proposal at the end of the show.
Josh Murray moved to Orange County to be with Amanda and her kids. She seemed to be having a good time there.
But in January 2017, they had broken up. They briefly patched up in February only to split again in March 2017. Amanda Stanton said in an interview that Josh Murray was extremely controlling and did not want her to see her friends. He wanted to shift back to Atlanta and always kept talking about it.
Murray’s assistant Hayley Watts also confirmed that the couple had a nasty argument in mid-March after which Josh Murray was told to pack his bags and leave Amanda’s apartment.
There was an argument on Josh Murray’s car as well which Amanda also used to drive. The police were also called in which surprised and hurt Amanda.
She was scared and worried about her daughters seeing the police. She felt that Josh Murray had involved the law for no reason and had caused a disturbance in her and her daughter’s lives. Amanda Stanton was on the verge of crying as she recalled this whole incident to ‘E! Online.
She, however, is happy that her daughters have taken the separation from their stepfather well.
What did her ex-husband have to say?
After her separation from Josh Murray, Amanda Stanton joined season 4 of ‘Bachelor in Paradise’. This has come as a surprise to not only her fans but also to her ex-husband Nick. He wrote on his Facebook:
“Sick and tired of people thinking she’s a mom who actually cares about their well-being. This was the last straw. She deserves to be shown as the immature mother she is. She cares more about what she looks like [than] the well-being of her own children.”
He was not happy with his kids being put in the daycare center while his ex-wife was filming for the reality dating shows. Last year, when Nick came to know that Amanda is competing for Ben’s love, he said:
“it was a hard pill to swallow,”
Knowing Amanda’s personality, Nick had this advice for Ben Higgins on the last season of ‘Bachelor’. He said:
“The best thing to do is just stay calm, cool and levelheaded with her. I wasn’t able to do that as much as I should’ve. She likes to talk, so just have an open ear.”
Amanda has however always defended her attempts to find love on camera. She has added that her being away from her kids is like any other mom who works for about 40 hours a week in other fields.
If they are not bad moms, how can they say that she is not a good mom? Amanda has a point there!
