Amber Heard attends the premiere of In the Fire
Amber Heard looked happier than ever at her first big event since losing her defamation trial against her ex-husband Johnny Depp last year.
The 37-year-old Aquaman actress appeared at the Taormina Film Festival in Italy on Friday just a day before the premiere of her new movie In the Fire.
The controversial actress looked radiant as she smiled, laughed, and chatted with her cast and crew members from the supernatural thriller which wrapped months before her infamous trial started in April 2022.
Heard looked stunning in a white T-shirt and matching wrap-around skirt for the event. She paid for her looked with a pair of black heels and wore her beautiful blonde locks in loose curls.
Deadline reported that the actress plays a psychiatrist in the movie who is “called to solve the case of a disturbed child following increasingly insistent accusations that the child is the devil.”
Despite moving on, internet users were not so happy to see Heard in public. One wrote,
”I smell a fish. Wait, its just Amber.”
Another wrote,
”Omg.. someone gave her a part in a movie??? She cant act… I will never lose the image of her over done ‘sad forlorn’ face that she wore in court every day during the trial with Depp.. laughable ‘actress’..”
A third user commented,
”Is that blood on her foot in the 3rd picture? Did she step on a bee?”
Amber’s latest appearance came more than a year after Depp’s legal team proved that she defamed him in a 2018 Washington Post op-ed about sexual violence.
In return, Depp sued the actress for $50 million in 2019. He claimed that she made false accusations against him to obtain more money from their divorce settlement.

She also received $2 million in compensatory damages for her countersuit against Depp.
Heard who was devasted by the judgment requested a retrial.
However, in December 2022, she dropped the appeal and announced on her social media that she finally decided to settle the defamation with her ex-husband.

“It’s important for me to say that I never chose this,”
“I defended my truth and in doing so my life, as I knew it, was destroyed.
“I have made no admission. This is not an act of concession.”
After the trial, the Rum Diary actress relocated to Madrid with her 2-year-old daughter, Oonagh.
In May, the actress shut down rumors about retiring from her acting career and confirmed on TikTok that she has many projects lined up.
