Quinta Brunson divorces her husband of three years
It was last Wednesday on 19th March 2025 that American actress and comedian, Quinta Brunson, 35 filed for divorce from her husband of three years, Kevin Jay Anik. The filing of the legal divorce papers was done in the Los Angeles Superior Court.

The legal documents state that after their wedding, the two had made an agreement on how they would divide their assets in case a divorce occurs between them. The couple has no children together. Hence it would be a simple divorce battle with no custody fight.
The divorce papers have no mention about the exact date that the two separated. It states the reason for divorce as irreconcilable differences. TMZ had first reported this breaking news on its website.

The actress prefers to keep her private life under wraps. She was dating Kevin Jay Anik for several years. Kevin works at the legal-cannabis industry of California. Quinta had posted an engagement ring in 2020 on her social media.
It was in October 2021 that the couple walked down the aisle together. But they had not posted anything about it on the internet. Neither did Quinta talk about her married life in any interview.

However, she acknowledged her husband twice when she won the Emmy awards in 2022 for writing for the popular ABC series Abbott Elementary and for acting. She referred to Kevin as ‘the most supportive man I’ve ever known’. However, this view seems to have changed now.
About Quinta Brunson’s early life and career
Quinta is a very talented actress, writer, producer and comedian. She is from West Philadelphia where she was born on 21st December 1989. She is the youngest child of the five children of her parents.
Quinta’s mother, Norma Jean, was a kindergarten teacher at a local school while her father, Rick, was a manager at the local parking lots. Her schooling was at the Harrity Elementary School in the Cobbs Creek neighborhood.

Quinta became obsessed with comedy during her college days at the Charter High School for Architecture & Design, Philadelphia. She took improv classes to improve her skills.
Quinta attended Temple university and Second City in Chicago. But she left studies and relocated to Los Angeles to try her luck in comedy. In 2024, Temple university gave her a honorary degree in Fine Arts.
Quinta began uploading comedy videos on her Instagram in 2014. They went viral and she got a lot of fans on it. She also freelanced for Buzzfeed company and later became a video producer for its video creation section. She left the company in 2018 and started on her own.
Quinta also acted in iZombie in 2019. She was part of season three of Miracle Workers in 2021. The same year, she also released a book about her personal life experiences. In August 2022, Warner Bros TV signed her for the show Abhott Elementary. This series won her several accolades.
The comedian had a guest appearance on Party Down revival series. In April 2923, she debuted as host of Saturday Night Live show.
