American singer/songwriter, Britney Spears, 42, finalized her divorce from husband, Sam Asghari, 30 in May 2024. She has now put up a post on her social media to let people know how she is faring after the divorce.

American singer, Britney Spears, 42 separated from her last husband, model Sam Asghari, 30 in July 2023. Divorce filing was done one month later. And the process was completed in May 2024. Britney has opted to put up a post on her social media to reflect on how she is after the divorce.

The singer posted on her Instagram:

“I need to brace myself and slow down and recap the past year. Because I think I had a false confidence after my divorce!!!”

Further, the post continued:

“There was a lot of WTF 😬 moments!!! Trust me I know we’re all human and make mistakes!!! I literally need to go back and adjust and possibly do a couple more therapy sessions,”
“I apologize for not being perfect and I will try and get confidence and consistency back like I used to have 😘😘😘 !!!”

Britney clarifies on her relationship with ex-boyfriend, Paul Richard Soliz

After her divorce from Sam, Britney started a relationship with her former housekeeper, Paul Richard Soliz. But it seems to have ended since Britney posted an update on 7 July 2024 on her Instagram wherein she clarified that she is single. She mentioned about an April 2024 incident in which Paul had not allowed her to interact with the paparazzi.

In the accompanying video, Britney can be seen pushing herself further down in the passenger seat when her car windows open. And Paul is on the driver’s seat but was using his arm to block his face. She captioned this post:

“Why was he going 90 in a neighborhood with one pap following only to roll the window down when pap pulls to the side of me???”
“When he calls his mom and says he’s being harassed.”
“Why did he roll the window down with me crying in the seat???”

After this, she put a quote on her Instagram that said:

“Her attitude is savage by her heart as gold.”

Further, she wrote:

“Single as f–k!!! I will never be with another man as long as I live!!!”

However, later Britney deleted this last line.

How is Britney’s relationship with her two sons?

Kevin Federline was Britney’s second husband and they wed in 2004. The couple has two children, son Sean Preston who was born in September 2005 and son Jayden James whom the couple welcomed in September 2006. But Kevin and Britney separated in 2007.The kids are with their father due to the poor mental status of the mother. In September 2022, Jayden had spoken about why he and his elder brother, Sean did not go for Britney’s wedding with Sam. He said:

“At the time it just wasn’t a good time to go. I’m not saying that I’m not happy for her. I’m really happy for them, but she didn’t invite the whole family and then if it was just going to be me and Preston, I just don’t see how that situation would have ended on good terms,”

Jayden and Sean stand united in whatever they do. He revealed:

“Preston and I are very united. He is always looking out for me and I am looking out for him. We make sure that we are both healthy mentally,”

But Jayden also added that he has no hate against his mother and wants to repair the relationship even if it takes some time and efforts. He wishes that Britney gets well enough so that the two children can meet her and talk to her.

After this interview, Britney had posted that she is left with no purpose in life.

But this year, her kids spoke to their mother. Kevin’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan told ET:

“Reconciliations and the reunification of relationships are difficult and take time. They are sometimes complicated and always a lengthy process. The process has not really commenced, let alone [been] completed,”
“The good thing is that the boys saw their mom was doing well and have a desire to speak with her,”
“There has been some telephonic communication between Britney and her sons, and we think that is a step in the right direction.”
