This beautiful singer cum songwriter has been in the fashion line for many years now. But she is now ready to go to the next level and launch a luxury fashion house now.
Rihanna is in talks with some big no in the fashion industry. She is joining hands with LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton to launch her own luxury fashion house.
LVMH is a French multinational company that started in 19871 Its head office is located in Paris, and it makes, several luxurious goods which include Fendi, Givenchy, Christian Dior, Kenzo, and more.
The chairman and chief executive officer of the company are Bernard Arnault and it is the first time after 1987 that a brand new house would be started under the company.
Of late, Rihanna has been sporting oversized sunglasses, with the logo Fenty written on the side during her outings in the city of New York.
The collaboration of Rihanna with LVMH – its nature
It has been reported that in the start the singer would take the help of the staff of LVMH’s brands such as Louis Vuitton and Celine.
She would also have her team of workers develop her collection. This collection would include fashion, leather goods, and accessories and is likely to be out this year. The exact date has not been revealed yet. It might be with the release of her ninth album.
Rihanna and her fashion lines
The talented singer launched several of her fashion collections. She debuted in 2013 with her collaboration with UK retailer River Island.
She said at that time:
“Launching at London Fashion Week is a dream come true for me. I have wanted to design my own collection for a long time and to present my collection for River Island alongside all of the other great design talent at LFW is a real privilege. I can’t wait to see the reaction from my fans and the fashion press.”
She has the FentyxPuma range and for this, she launched several collections and also did several runway shows. Rihanna has also tried her hands in the lingerie section and her label Savage ferry is quite formidable. She also launched Fenty Beauty. She is the hottest-selling celebrity in the world of licensing.
Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty has picked up quite well and it has 6.3 million Instagram followers, 490,000 YouTube subscribers, and 372,000 Twitter followers and has makeup products for all sizes, and complexions of women. It has used the digital platform wisely to pick up sales.
Similarly, it interacts with its users regularly and reports user-generated content on its social media. It also collaborates, with avid fans via videos and posts.
Rihanna her past campaigns with LVMH
Rihanna and LVMH have come close since 2015 when she did a campaign for them. She had attended shows for Christian Dior and later appeared in Secret Garden IV which was a campaign and short film shot by Steven Klein. The filming was done in Versailles in France.
She was featured in Dior sunglasses, carrying the brand’s bags and wearing looks from the Esprit Dior collection.
In the next year, she created a futuristic sunglass range and was in collaboration with Dior of which she was the brand ambassador.
Rihanna is said to get personally involved in product development. The new secret project had kicked off 6 months back and was overseen by Sidney Toledano, chairman, and chief executive officer of LVMH Fashion Group. He had started picking people in Paris for the fashion team around the same time.
