America’s Got Talent Magician Scott Alexander dies of a stroke
Scott Alexander, the magician who appeared on season 6 of America’s Got Talent is no more.
The magician died on Sunday after suffering a massive stroke while he was working on a cruise ship in the Caribbean. He was 52.
It was his wife Jenny who announced the heartbreaking news to his fans and well-wishers.
She shared a family photo and wrote on her social media account,
“I lost my husband yesterday. My kids lost their father. He suffered a stroke while working on a cruise ship in St. Kitts and did not make it home to us,”
“We are shattered. Please hold us in your prayers.”
While appearing on the famous show in 2011, Alexander impressed judges Piers Morgan, Sharon Osbourne, and Howie Mandel. He won their hearts by making his wife act as an assistant who appeared out of thin air.
Despite wowing the judges and the audience, the Pennsylvania magician lost his position in the quarterfinals after performing a stunt involving a gospel choir.

Alexander’s wife and three children
In an interview with the Daily Local News that the first time he hosted a magic show was when he was only 12 years old at his neighbor’s Halloween party. The talented magician also added that he performed at children’s birthday parties throughout high school.
His online biography also stated that he headlined the Las Vegas Strip at Caesars Palace for almost a decade.
He tried his luck on the second season of Penn & Teller: Fool Us in 2015 where another America’s Got Talent star alum, the illusionist Puck.
Alexander’s wife has not given any details about her husband’s funeral arrangements but a GoFundMe has been set up to raise money, approximately $200,000 for the grieving family.
Alexander now has three kids Jack, Roxy, and Sawyer with his wife of 24 years.
Ashley DeStephano wrote on the GoFundMe page,
“For me, and others in our community, we didn’t all know him and his wife as the on-stage duo or the star magician that he was. Those within this circle knew him as a good man, a loving husband, a caring father,”
“A family man. The dad who helped with homecoming parade floats, science projects, Halloween costumes, his kids’ talent show school performances.”
