Aaron’s twin sister Angel also requested her followers to pay  tribute to her late brother during this “incredibly dark time.”

On her own IG story, the 34-year-old wrote:

“Mental Health is so unbelievably important. It’s not talked about enough and is so often overlooked,”

“Mental illness leads to so many different problems within your life and can result in serious issues like addiction.”

The grieving sister continued:

“Aaron was an incredibly kind, gentle, talented and funny person. We hope that you choose to remember the Aaron we all loved deeply and you continue to keep sharing those beautiful memories of him.”

The non-profit organization of which Nick is an ambassador released its own statement saying that all the proceeds will be used for educational content and “lesson plans or activities for schools” in order to support the Carter family’s intention of helping others.”

Aaron’s death and his controversial tell-all memoir

Aaron was found dead in his bathtub on November 5 at the age of 34. The former child star had a long history of mental health issues and addiction.

The actual cause of the star’s death is still under investigation but police reports suggest multiple cans of compressed air and prescription pill bottles were near his body.

The late star has an 11-months-old son Prince whom he shared with his former fiancee Melanie Martin. Aaron also reportedly died without writing a will.

Since his mysterious passing, his family, friends, and management team are doing their best to stop the publication of his memoir ”Aaron Carter: An Incomplete Story of an Incomplete Life.”

It also came to notice that Aaron himself did not want his memoir to be out and asked the publisher to put an end to it.

His publicist revealed:

“Aaron, in the midst of [working on the book], said, ‘I want nothing to do with this’ and stopped, so the fact that the publisher is saying it’s green-lit, it’s not,”

Even before its release, the book has already been making headlines, mainly negative.

One part from the tell-all reported that Aaron claimed that he saw Michael Jackson in bed wearing “tighty-whitey underwear” at his home.

Another controversial part alleged that Aaron took his then-girlfriend Hilary Duff‘s virginity when she was only 13 years old something Duff strongly denied.
