Angel Carter misses her twin brother Aaron Carter on their 35th birthday

Angel Carter is heartbroken on her birthday.

This is the first time she is celebrating her first birthday without her twin brother Aaron Carter.

The Carter kid took to her Instagram on Wednesday to pay a heartfelt tribute to Aaron who passed away just over a month ago.

Carter expressed her extreme grief by writing:

“Aaron dying was the worst day of my life,”
“It feels like a piece of my soul is gone.”

Angel also revealed that she did her best to help her brother who was struggling with so much throughout his life.

“I begged, once again, for him to let us help,”
“I did not know that would be the last time that I would ever hear his voice. And now, I sit here on our birthday, trying to navigate this unimaginable loss because of untreated mental illness and the addiction that it led to.”

Aaron’s tragic death left a deep hole in Angel’s heart.

Despite finding multiple cans of compressed air and prescription pill bottles near the scene, the actual cause of the late star’s death is still under examination.

All his life, Aaron battled mental health issues and addiction. He once admitted that his late old sister, Leslie Carter was the one who introduced him to huffing during their teenage days.

Angel explains the pain of losing her two siblings

Leslie also died of a drug overdose in January 2015 when she was just 25.

Angel also, at the time, remembered her older sister via social media.

Carter wrote:

“I remember feeling broken, confused, and I questioned how I was going to continue on without her in my life,”
“And now, over a decade later, I am forced to once again deal with the extreme grief of the death of a sibling. This time, it’s my beloved twin, Aaron. We had an indescribable bond… and now… he is gone.”

Angel explained how hard it was for her to cope with the death of her two siblings at a young age. She called the situation hard and unfair.

After Leslie passed, she felt blindsided but Aaron’s demise was less of a shock.

Carter explained:

“And yet, despite all this pain, his passing has lit a fire within me,”
“I feel a calling and responsibility to help other families and continue the conversation to further break the stigmas that surround mental illness.”

Angel along notified fans about a benefit concert in remembrance of her brother whose proceeds will go to On Our Sleeves. It is an organization that will help communities break mental health stigmas and support children’s mental health.
