One of our favorite celebrity couples, Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard celebrated their five-year wedding anniversary.
But this duo did not remember their anniversary dates.

Worked hard as a couple

They were reminded by friends and family. Monday morning, their grandma texted saying ‘happy anniversary!’ So this is how they were reminded about their 5th year wedding anniversary. This duo met back in 2007 at the Detroit Red Wings hockey game.

After dating for six years, they got married in a courthouse ceremony in 2013. In 2013, they welcomed their first child, Lincoln Bell Shepard. Following year, she gave birth to Delta, their second child. Their relationship has been filled with ups and downs.

Talking about their relationship, Dax said:

“We definitely had to work really hard at being a couple because we’re both incredibly, painfully stubborn, and we’re pretty much opposites.”

12 years into their relationship, Kristen and Dax said they are proud of the life and family they have built together. Bell said:

“All these movies from the ’80s taught us that it’s love at first sight, and it is supposed to be easy and [that] all you have to do is find that person, It took me a while to realize, ‘Oh, that was such a lie,’ because things that you work really, really, really hard for always yield the best results.”

We were reminded by family and friends that at some point last week, it was our 5 year wedding anniversary. In truth, neither of us remember which day. Thats because we have been living the celebration of our commitment every moment since. I find when you are living with gratitude each moment, the dates become irrelevant. To get to wake up next to someone who has put hard work, respectful fights, patience, understanding and gratitude into your relationship is the definition of love. I will never remember the date of our anniversary @daxshepard, and i know you wont either. And thats just one more thing i love about us.

Dates becoming irrelevant

Actress Kristen Bell uploaded two posts dedicated to her husband on their anniversary. She also said that neither of them remembered the day. They do not remember for a good reason.

And the reason behind the dates becoming irrelevant is they have been living the celebration of our commitment every moment.

Never remembering the date of the anniversary is one of the things that she loves about their relationship. With all the ups and downs during their beginning days, Bell wrote:

Another post from Bell is a photo of the couple kissing. Despite forgetting their wedding anniversary they made up for it with a ‘heavy makeout sesh.’

The picture was a caption with:

“Here’s the morning we both got texts from grandma saying “happy anniversary!”. We were both on our way out the door but stopped for a quick hot and heavy make out sesh while Frank stood close like a creeper.”
