Arrogant Tae is 26 years old at present. He was born on 11th March 1995 in Chicago, Illinois. He got inspiration from his mother, aunt, and cousins who he watched doing hair in a salon. Tae started working as a hairstylist at the age of 7.

“I kinda got into hair because I grew up on hair and I was always in the salon when I was younger and I started doing my mom’s friend’s kids hair and all my family members,”

Feud with rapper Nicki Minaj

Arrogant Tae was the hairstylist of Nicki Minaj until she led him off. She even unfollowed him on social media. Nicki had planned to promote her song on social media for which she required a strawberry shortcake-colored wig.

But the two had a dispute and she hired Jonathan Wright instead. When Tae saw the two working together he wrote on Instagram,

“I’ve learned my lesson being loyal to ppl n real n sticking by ppl side don’t get you nomore! Bt hey it’s life, u can’t trust ppl,” he continued. “Ppl are petty bt I’m done dealing with ppl who’s not loyal!! Bt shid let’s turn all the way up then.”

Nicki later cleared the air saying that Arrogant Tae had canceled on her 48 hours before their shoot. So, she hired another stylist.

Arrogant Tae runs a masterclass where he teaches how to make the wig look like it’s coming out of the scalp. As per the website, he teaches techniques from melting the lace and creating baby hair to cutting layers in a wig. Tae shares his secrets, tips, and tricks for having good hair.

Talking about his class in an interview with Essence, he said,

“Whenever I do classes I always tell the students to take what I’m going to show them mix it in with their own unique style. Because ultimately, that’s, what’s gonna make them stand out. So when you come to my class, you’ll learn all the basics, but you need to take what you’ve learned and mix it in with like what you already know,”
