Attorney to reality TV star: The romantic journey of Rachel Lindsay!
Lovers meet on the ABC shows, The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, date, and get married. But unfortunately, not many of these continue their married life for long. Most break up and get divorced. But out of the few who are still together, Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo is one such couple. Know their romantic journey from the show days to now.
Rachel Lindsay: attorney to reality show
The talented and gorgeous Rachel Lindsay, 38 was born in Dallas in Texas, the USA. Her father is federal judge Sam Lindsay and her mother Kathy is a beauty consultant. She has an older sibling, sister Constance and also a younger sister named Heather. Rachel studied law from the Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She began practice in 2011.
Besides her law and media work, Rachel was a contestant on The Bachelor of Nick Viall. He gave her the first impression rose. But he could not woo her enough to form a couple.
And in 2017, she became the main on the TV show The Bachelorette. The show had a diverse contestant cast. In the end, Rachel chose Bryan Abasolo over Peter Krause, another contestant.
Rachel and Bryan Abasolo: their romantic journey
After opting for Bryan as a life partner over Peter Krause on TV, Rachel continued it into real life too. Bryan was a chiropractic doctor from Miami. He moved to Dallas for Rachel. Here, they got engaged. Later in 2019, the couple relocated to Miami.
The couple wed in August 2019. The wedding was not televised and took place in Cancun, Mexico. Michael Russo, their wedding planner told People:
“Rachel was the epitome of elegance and grace as she walked down the aisle towards Bryan. The ceremony was filled with so much joy, love and laughter,”
“As they exchanged their personal handwritten vows, you could feel the unbridled emotion and powerful connection between them.”
The couple tried to have kids, but the process was not smooth for them. Later, in January 2022, Rachel revealed that they were talking to doctors for IVF. But they felt that the process was not as easy as they had imagined it to be.
However, they still hold the same feelings of love and respect for each other. Their relationship is going strong.
Where is the couple now?
Rachel began her work for Extra as a correspondent in 2019. And since August 2020, she is a full time correspondent for them. Bryan is host of the podcast Dr. Abs Healthcast. Rachel now resides in Los Angeles. She had revealed on Bryan’s podcast:
“I didn’t move to L.A. because I just love the city,”
“You’re focusing on your practice and building it to a place you want it to be, and I’m here in L.A. working for Extra and doing other things, and we’re doing this to eventually bring ourselves together.”
Rachel has penned a number of books including Miss Me With That: Hot Takes, Helpful Tidbits, and a Few Hard Truths. After their engagement, Bryan had told People:
“I saw this woman and I thought that we would be a great match. I didn’t know how great it would be until I got there but I’m telling you, it was basically an ascension from night one,”
“It just got better and better and it still does. I mean, I keep falling in love with this woman more and more every single day.”
Rachel agreed and said:
“Bryan is like my best friend, like I can not imagine him not in my life.”
