Happy Engagement! Cassie Randolph, a former contestant on The Bachelor, has announced her engagement to musician Brighton Reinhardt.

The proposal took place on November 25, 2024, at Newport Coast in California. The 29-year-old reality TV star shared with PEOPLE that she was completely surprised during what she thought was a casual family stroll along the beach.

Reinhardt proposed at a charming cottage perched on the cliffs, presenting her with a stunning engagement ring.

In her exclusive statement to PEOPLE, Cassie expressed her astonishment, saying,

“When Brighton dropped to a knee and asked ‘Will you marry me?,’ as he opened the box, my reaction was immediately, ‘Oh my gosh, yes!,’”

The Bachelor alum expressed that the evening was “more perfect and special” than she could have imagined. Similarly, she humorously noted that the only thing she would have changed was her hairstyle for the occasion.

The couple shared photos of their engagement celebration on the beach at sunset, where Brighton Reinhardt joyfully lifted Cassie Randolph into his arms.

In another picture, they looked deeply into each other’s eyes as Randolph placed her hand on Reinhardt’s cheek, showcasing her sparkling new engagement ring.

Their close friend Krissy captured these special moments on camera, while Reinhardt’s family congratulated them from a short distance after the proposal.

Brighton designs custom 5.04-carat elongated cushion cut engagement ring for his soo-to-be bride, Cassie.

He also take help from Randolph’s sister Cassie and Lake McGuire at Simply Radiant to design the engagement ring. To make the ring even more special, Reinhardt included an engraved “C” alongside her birthstone, which is also a diamond, on the band.

Cassie and Brighton first met eight years ago and were friends for about five years before starting their romantic relationship in 2020.

In a 2021 interview with PEOPLE, Cassie shared insights about her relationship with Brighton, explaning that their “friendship” was a significant factor in their bond.

“It was kind of that we were really young and then we just became friends. And that was it for years. We’d hang out with each other’s siblings and families and stuff,”

Randolph noted that after reconnecting the previous year, their relationship quickly deepened. She described him as her best friend, which she believes is very important in a relationship.

The former couple dated for four years before they called it quits on their relationship in May 2020.
