‘Bachelorette’ Alum JP Rosenbaum Diagnosed With Guillain-Barré Syndrome; Update On His Health Condition!!
The 42-year-old Bachelorette JP Rosenbaum is diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome. His wife Ashley Rebert revealed his health condition. Here is an update on his health.
JP Rosenbaum Diagnosed With Guillain-Barré Syndrome
‘Bachelorette’ Alum Ashley Rebert shared her husband’s JP Rosenbaum health condition on her Instagram. She posted on her Instagram Stories on Sunday, December 8 writing:
“JP was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome yesterday. He is in treatment and doing well. It may be a long road to full recovery, but we are so grateful to everyone that has helped us get to a speedy diagnosis and treatment.”
She posted a series of videos to his Instagram Stories updating about the health of her husband JP. The clips show JP laying in his hospital bed on Sunday. He described his diagnosis as “very surreal and humbling and crazy, rare.”

He described his illness by saying:
“Things you do every day, like picking up this phone, or buttoning buttons, tying shoelaces, putting on deodorant, just can’t do it. Picking up my kids, can’t do it. Wiping your ass, maybe TMI, but might have Ashley assist on the next one. Can’t really believe it.”
Furthermore, he added that he may be spending the next few days in the hospital as doctors work out his symptoms. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention JP diagnosis is a rare autoimmune disorder. This illness can cause damage to the nerves, weaken the muscles and sometimes cause paralysis.

JP Rosenbaum and Ashley Hebert met on season 7 of ‘The Bachelorette’ in 2011. The duo got married in December 2012 in a ceremony. Chriss Harrison officiated their wedding and it aired on ABC.

The couple is blessed with two children, a son Fordham, and a daughter Essex. JP and Ashley renewed their vows in Aruba in August 2018, nearly six years after tying the knot.
JP shared a photo with his wife and kids on Instagram earlier this week wishing his wife an anniversary. He wrote:
“7 years down, probably about 3-4 more to go. Happy anniversary to the woman responsible for all the love and happiness in this picture (and basically all my pictures for the last 7 years). ❤️ u @ashleylynnrosenbaum.”
What is Guillain-Barré Syndrome?
Guillain-Barré syndrome is a rare neurological disorder in which the body’s immune system attacks the nerves. The first symptoms are weakness and tingling in the arms and leg but it can lead to paralysis. There is no known cure however treatments including plasma exchange and immunoglobulin therapy can relieve symptoms. Physical therapy is the most important part of the treatment.
