Disney Channel alum Bella Thorne says no to Child Sexualization
Bella Thorne is not letting the director go off who simply accused her of “flirting with him” and making “him really uncomfortable” years ago. Thorne was child sexualized at just 10 years old when the director linked her as if she was sexually misbehaving with him.
The actress in Tuesday’s episode of the High Low podcast with Emily Ratajkowski recalls how the false accusations from the director drive her crazy.
She explained,
“I … am trying to find almost fault in myself. Like, ‘What did you do, Bella? What did you do? You made him feel like this.’ I don’t give a f–k what the f–k I said. I don’t care if I said, ‘Eat my p—y right now. [I was] 10 years old. Why ever would you think that [I was flirting]?”
The former Disney Channel star subsequently reminded herself that at age 10 it was not so here. She argues that at that age it was nearly impossible for her to make someone feel that uncomfortable saying,
“Also you’re in a director session, you can’t really say or do anything. You do the scene, you say hello and you walk out. There is no time to go sit on your lap or make you uncomfortable.”
Not only, this there had been other turbulent experiences with Thorne while emerging as a successful actress. The same podcast disclosed how she was to be fired from Disney for wearing a bikini and body chain to a beach.

“They pointed to my picture, and I was with my friend who was also modeling at the time with the same agency, and they were like, ‘This face. This is how we know this girl gets f–ked. You’ve got to give a lesson, Emily, on this.”
My Body author Ratajkowski had also been vocal about this conversation in her book. Indeed, she cites this as the reality of being a young woman in the industry.
“I remember being like flattered and also obviously so embarrassed and horrified, and now, of course, looking back, that is so f–ked up that they said that.”
