Well, Benny Blanco is in love!
On Wednesday, Dec. 18, the 36-year-old music producer will share his fiancée Selena Gomez’s engagement announcement on his Instagram Stories.
“still can’t believe it,” Blanco posted on his Insta feed with the photo of him kissing Gomez, 32, on top of her head whilst sitting in a closet, just as she held her diamond ring up.
He then shared a clip of him and his lady clinking their champagne glasses together as they sat on the grass. The video featured Gomez grinning from ear to ear before letting out a chuckle.
In her carousel of engagement announcements on Wednesday, Dec. 11, the “Hands to Myself” singer incorporated images of her having a Taco Bell picnic while beaming with her ring, alongside a selfie of her smiling.
“Forever begins now,” her caption read before Blanco commented, “Hey wait… that’s my wife.”
In May, the elated fiancee manifested in the Howard Stern Show as he opened up about seeing marriage ahead with the star of Only Murders in the Building.
“I always look at her and I’m like, ‘I don’t even picture a world so much better than this,” he said.
Gomez and Blanco have known each other for years; they first worked together on Gomez’s 2019 song. I Can’t Get Enough. Their romantic relationship started in June 2023.
In August 2023, Gomez released her song “Single Soon,” which was also produced by Blanco.
She went ahead to confirm their relationship in December 2023 by liking fan account posts on Instagram of the duo and commenting, “He is my absolute everything in my heart.”
The pair made their first red carpet-appearance together in January 2024 at the 2024 Emmys.
A source previously told PEOPLE of the couple, “They’re just fully supportive of each other. He wants the best for her, and she wants the best for him. Perfect together. They really are.”

Last month, the music producer was PEOPLE’s 2024 sexiest man alive. He revealed that his rule is to be a good man with chivalry.
“I always felt pretty confident growing up in Virginia,” said Blanco, 36, who has produced hits for Ed Sheeran and Lana Del Rey. “My mom was like, ‘You’re the best,’ and my brother was always so sweet to me. He always paved the way and always made sure people were nice to me. He is a sweetie.”
In family still keeps him down to earth, especially with his sense of humor on the witty side with fashion flair (“I love a heel!”), Blanco happily is displacing masculinity with chivalry.
The dating game has no place, he is convinced. “I [still] go all out for every date. It doesn’t mean spending your entire bank account. It means being attentive and listening.”
Blanco loves to throw themed dinner parties with friends and family at his Los Angeles-area home (for his best-hosting nuggets, just keep reading!), while one could usually find him cooking for his girlfriend-favorite foods-The Taco Bell he’d make in his kitchen or deep-fried pickles, for instance.
But it’s actually in some little, simple things that Blanco finds the most pleasure.
“I am a real morning person. That’s probably my favorite time to spend with Sel because we both wake up incredibly early. It’s like our moment before the rest of the world wakes up,” he says. “I have a true best friend that I get to do everything in the world with, and every day is the best day of my life.”
