The most shocking revelation of Bill Gates hands down is his romantic relationship with a female Microsoft employee.

He had an alleged affair with one of his staff and now some serious allegations have been made against him. In 2020, Microsoft Corporation board members decided to give Gates a break from his work and they pursued an investigation into his affair.

Also, they had hired a law firm to investigate in late 2019 after a Microsoft engineer alleged in a letter that she had a sexual relationship over years with Mr. Gates.

Some board members suggested that Bill should no longer sit as director at the software company even though he is the founder and led it for decades. A spokesperson said,

“Microsoft received a concern in the latter half of 2019 that Bill sought to initiate an intimate relationship with a company employee in the year 2000. A committee of the Board reviewed the concern, aided by an outside law firm to conduct a thorough investigation. Throughout the investigation,”

Similarly, his side of the spokeswoman tried clearing the accusation by saying,

“There was an affair almost 20 years ago which ended amicably. decision to transition off the board was in no way related to this matter. In fact, he had expressed an interest in spending more time on his philanthropy starting several years earlier.”

Gates himself resigned from the Microsoft board on 13th March 2020 just three months after he was re-elected.
