Bobby Rock started his career as a drummer for numerous bands in the mid-1980s, including the L.A. rock band “The Boyz” and the glam metal band “Roxx Gang”.

In 1985, he joined the Vinnie Vincent Invasion, a short-lived band fronted by former KISS guitarist Vinnie Vincent. The band released two albums, Vinnie Vincent Invasion (1986) and All Systems Go (1988).

After the Vinnie Vincent Invasion dissolved, Rock joined the hard rock/heavy metal band Alcatrazz in 1989.

The band released two albums, No Parole from Rock ‘n’ Roll (1983) and Dangerous Games (1986). Rock also toured with Ozzy Osbourne in 1992 as a replacement for Tommy Lee.

In 1993, The drummer participated in the supergroup Slaughter, replacing Mark Slaughter. The band released four albums, Stick It to Ya (1990), The Wild Life (1992), Fear No Evil (1995), and Revolution (1997). He also appeared in the band’s music video for the song “Up All Night”.

Bobby Rock also worked as a session drummer for various artists, including The Rembrandts and The Black Crowes.

He also performed on the soundtracks of the films “The Adventures of Ford Fairlane” (1990) and “The Nutty Professor” (1996).

In the 2000s, Bobby Rock continued to work as a session musician, playing on albums by Dokken, Steve Vai, and Great White. He also released his solo album, Nailed to the Groove (2007).

The drummer Bobby Rock continues to perform with various artists and bands, including Great White and KISS tribute band KISSNation. In 2016, he reunited with the Vinnie Vincent Invasion for a special performance at the KISS Expo in Nashville, TN.

In 2018, he released a book, titled “A Drummer’s Story: An Exploration of Mental Health and Music”.

In the book, he recounts his struggles with mental illness and substance abuse, and how music has helped him cope and heal.
