This is the latest tweet from the UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, 55. He has been infected with the deadly virus, the coronavirus which is doing the rounds in the world. He is the latest rich and famous person to contract the virus.
Boris Johnson tests positive for the coronavirus
The Prime Minister of the UK, Boris Johnson is the latest famous person to get infected with the deadly coronavirus. He tweeted his condition to his fans and fellow countrymen.
In the video, he uploaded, he gave a health update and also promised to all that he will continue to work from home and in self-isolation. He wants everyone to do their best to save the world from this virus. His symptoms as of now are mild, he said.

People were quick to view and comment on this tweet of the PM. Scott Morrison wrote:

The tweet got 7.2 million views in just two hours. And there have been 35.4k comments to it. Most of the comments have been well wishes and positive. But some have been nasty. One of the followers called him the King of Virus. 93. 3k people retweeted his post.
Ali Tayyab talked of the disparity in care:
“How lucky that he only developed mild symptoms and managed to get tested, when everyone else has to stay at home and are unable to get tested.”
Another follower, most probably a doctor queried:
“Should people with mild symptoms be tested Mr Johnson? Yes, they all should. Should all NHS staff be tested? Yes they should. Should there be testing in the community. Yes there should. Contact tracing? Maybe too late now. Where are the 25K tests/day?”
The official statement from the PM office
The PMO released a statement which read:
“He was tested for coronavirus on the personal advice of England’s Chief Medical Officer Professor Chris Whitty.”
The NHS staff performed the test on him at Number 10 Downing Street. People and media last saw him in public one day back on Thursday night 26 March 2020 when he came outside his office and clapped for the NHS staff. 11600 cases have tested in the UK and 578 cases have died. These also included young people busting the previous notion that the infection was only fatal in those over 60 years of age.
It is not sure from which contact Boris got the infection. Also, they did not release any list of his likely contacts. Is his girlfriend-turned-fiancee Carrie Symonds at risk? Carrie is also pregnant with their first child.
