Mila De Jesus is no more
Brazilian weight loss influencer Mila De Jesus passed away at 35.
On Monday, her daughter Anna Clara confirmed the tragic news by sharing an emotional message on her mother’s Instagram page.
She shared a black and white photo of her late mother and captioned it,
“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mila de Jesus this Friday,”
“In this moment of pain, respect family and friends and we will express our respect to Mila who will miss her a lot.”
Anna wrote in the caption,
“We are very sad to hear of the passing of our beautiful mother. We appreciate all the prayers and condolences. Continue to pray for us Thank you ❤️”
Her daughter didn’t reveal the cause of her sad demise.
The internet personality is survived by four children and her husband George Kowszik. The couple tied the knot in September 2023.
Friends and fans expressed their condolences in the comment section. Content creator Camila Coelho wrote,
“Still can’t believe it 😢 May God comfort the hearts of the whole family 🙏🏼 💔”
One follower added,
“Sending lots of love and comfort to you family and close friends. 😢 She brought so much joy and will be missed.. 💔 May God comfort each of you.”
Mila, a Brazilian-born, lived in Boston. She gained fame after undergoing bariatric surgery in October 2017. She also shared her weight loss journey and fitness tips with her 59,000 Instagram followers.
De Jesus’ last social media post was in November 2023 which was of a before and after photo of her progress.
She wrote at the time,
“13 years between one picture… 6 years since a decision that changed my life in so many ways,”
“On one side Mila age 22 and on the other Mila age 35. How much we change huh, how we grow and how we learn. Pride girl pride 😌💜 #beforeandafter 🦋 #bariatrica #weightlosstransformation.”
Mila also shared makeup tutorials on her YouTube channel which had more than 103,000 followers.

Mila De Jesus’ husband remembered his late wife
De Jesus’ husband, George Kowszik, also paid tribute to his wife. He also thanked his friends for their support.
He wrote on Facebook,
“I am not really good with words and talking here,”
“I lost my beautiful wife and my best friend yesterday that I love so much.”
Kowszik later shared a carousel of photos of the couple from their wedding day and other snapshots of their relationship.
On Tuesday, he wrote,
“Everyone of my wife’s and I friends and family. Your beautiful kind, caring and loving beautiful words and incredible inspiring PRAYERS… Have instilled such PEACE..in my life of 60yrs on this earth I ever felt,”
George added,
‘‘My wife loved me and believe in me through God which impacted my life and hers together,”
“I will never ever forget what God has blessed me and my beautiful [wife] and her very wonderful children.”
The grieving husband concluded,
“I’m sorry I can’t talk right now.. crying too much. forgive me.”
