It was seven months back that Hollywood’s power couple, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck called it quits to their marital life. Following this, Jennifer has been spotted on a recent outing with the handsome guy, Brett Goldstein. Are the two in a budding relationship?
Jennifer Lopez: is she dating Brett Goldstein?
It has been less than a year since American singer, Jennifer Lopez, 55 ended her marital relationship with her husband, American actor, Ben Affleck, 52. And now, she was spotted in the company of the handsome actor of Hollywood, Brett Goldstein, 44. Is it the start of a new romance there?
Speculation is rife that the two are probably dating after they attended a Broadway show in New York together. For this outing, Jennifer was wearing a cream-coloured blazer and her hair had a messy bun do. At this place, she also spoke to the other celebrity attendees such as Meryl Streep and Martin Short.
However, what was conspicuous was that Jennifer arrived with Brett for the show. They sat together at one corner and this lone time of the couple sparked rumors of a romantic relationship between them.
Neither Jennifer nor Brett has confirmed or denied these rumors. However, an insider told Daily Mail:
“After a very tough start to 2025, Jennifer can’t wait to start a new project, and it certainly helps that she will be working with a very handsome and smart star like Brett. He is one hot ticket and a real class act with talent to back it up—he not only acts but he writes amazing scripts. He is like the younger, better, British version of Ben. She thinks he is very cute.”

Though their relationship seems to be professional at the moment and on the surface, it is known that Brett has always admired Jennifer. He had also gone to the extent of expressing his love for Jennifer on his podcast.
After he saw her act in Hustlers, Brett has said in 2019:
“I love her!”
He had also stated:
“She’s an amazing star.”
Jennifer also feels that Brett is talented. It was her efforts that led Brett to fetch this new role with her in the upcoming project Office Romance. The movie is being shot in New Jersey now.
It seems that Jennifer is also excited with Brett becoming her co-star in this new film. Whether they will become a romantic couple in the near future, time will tell.
Brett Goldstein’s relationships
Brett started his career in 2005. Since then, he has not looked back. He has done a number of roles and his best performance has been in Ted Lasso in which he has portrayed the character of the veteran football player and assistant AFC Richmond coach, Roy Kent.
Brett prefers to keep his personal life under wraps. His only public girlfriend has been his co-star and comedian, Beth Rylance. The two had quarantined together in 2020 during the COVID pandemic and lockdown.
They created a parody of Love Island in March 2020. After more than a year, Brett seemed to confirm his relationship with Beth when he thanked her during his acceptance speech at the Emmy awards function. He had said:
“I was very, very specifically told I’m not allowed to swear, so this speech is going to be f*cking short . . . Beth, I love you.”
Over the next few months, they were putting comments under each other’s posts on social media. However, this ended. And The Mirror reported in August 2022 that the two had unfollowed each other on social media in April 2022.
The reason for the split was their work obligations. An insider had said:
“They’re both in exciting times in their careers and really busy and they just couldn’t make it work.”
