Did Offset and Cardi B fake their public feud?
Cardi B is setting the record straight after having fans on social media slammed her for allegedly faking a public feud with her husband Offset.
Nearly a month after the Up rapper, 30, and the Migos member, 31, took over the internet by arguing over cheating allegations, the couple now announced the release date of their collaborative new single Jealousy.
Earlier this week, Offset released a teaser where he makes a parody of James Brown’s bizarre 1988 CNN interview. He further used the clip to address the drama between him and his Grammy-winning wife.
In the video, actress Jamie Lee Curtis interviewed Offset as she performs the role of CNN host Sonya Friedman.
After watching the teaser, fans started speculating that the rappers’ fight was completely staged and it was all a show to promote their new song.
A fan wrote on social media,
“We said it was a stunt they pulled with their relationship and that’s exactly what is was. Lmfaoo.”
A screengrab shared on Twitter showed the Bodak Yellow rapper responding to the fan where she said,
“It wasn’t no STUNT,”
”Tasha K made some ish up and yall was laughing about it and happy ass hell about it. Now that we putting it in the music is a stunt … Naaa baby be mad at the one who started trolling wit it.”
The mom-of-two added,
“THEY C—-IE WAS SO WET WHEN THE LIE WAS GOING AROUND NOW it’s a different narrative when we put it in the music ….OOOO IM POPPIN IT ON THIS SONG !!!!”

Offset and Cardi reconciled shortly after the feud
In the tweet, Cardi B referred to her defamation case against blogger Tasha K which she filed in 2019. It was because the blogger made numerous negative claims about her.
Ultimately, the court ruled in favor of Cardi.
Cardi and Offset’s ugly public fight began in late June when the latter posted an Instagram Story reading, “My wife f—ed a N—- on me gang yall n—- know how I come.”
The Money rapper responded in a series of Twitter Space conversations which she started by singing the first verse of Keyshia Cole’s “I Should Have Cheated.”
Cardi B wrote,
“First of all, let me say, you can’t accuse me of all the things you know that you are guilty of. Sing it with me, y’all! And I see that it is easy for you to blame everything on me. Yes, honey!”
The rapper told fans of her husband,
“Listen, don’t pay attention to that country man,”
“That motherf—er spiraling and thinking s—.”
A source close to the couple at the time said that they were just having a little fight. They added, ‘‘They’re very intense so go back and forth quite a bit. They’ll hash it out like they always do.”
A week later after the fight, the two made their first public appearance in Paris as they were pictured holding hands and leaving a Balenciaga store together.
