Carey Mulligan, who recently announced the birth of her third child with her husband Marcus Mumford, gave some details about her newborn.
The couple are already a parent to two children a daughter Evelyn Grace, 7, and a son Wilfred, 5. Now, the two are joined by a younger sibling, a sister.
When Mulligan was asked about her newborn in a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, she seemly confirm the baby’s gender referring to the baby with she/her pronouns.
She said,
“Oh, she’s great. Great. Good baby, 10 out of 10 so far, We’ll see how long that lasts.”

The Great Gatsby actress revealed she and her husband, 36, had welcomed their third child together months ago during her interview with Vogue for their November cover story.
She mentioned in the story that the baby was born six weeks before its due date.
However, she hadn’t shared the sex and name of the infant at the time. Still, the baby’s name is not publicly known.
Carey Mulligan struggled with postpartum depression after the birth of her first child
Carey earlier opened up about her experience with postpartum depression or baby blues.
The actress shared that she experienced postpartum depression after welcoming her daughter Evelyn Grace in 2015.
In an October 2022 interview with Vanity Fair, when she came to promote her new film, She Said, Mulligan opened up about her experience coping with such depression.
She explained,
“One of the parts of the script that hit me initially the most was Megan’s experience with postnatal depression. I had a very similar experience with my first child seven years ago, and felt very alone, and very scared, and also very confused by the whole experience.”
In the film, Carey portrays New York Times reporter Megan Twohey. Megan also praised her for how she carefully approached portraying such a very personal struggle in the film.
