Celebrities Pay Tribute to Orlando Pulse Shooting Victims on One Year Anniversary!
- May the Departed soul find Peace! On the first anniversary of the horrific attack at Orlando’s Pulse nightclub, Celebrities have taken to social media on Monday, June 12, to pay tribute to the innocent victims.
Stars Remembering and mourning the victims
It’s been one year since the deadliest shooting in United States history when 49 people were shot and killed and 58 others wounded after a man opened fire inside Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, Florida.
Today, one day after tens of thousands of people participated in the Resist March during LGBTQ Pride Weekend in West Hollywood and D.C., thousands are paying tribute to the lives lost on June 12, 2016, in one of the most horrific terrorist attacks crimes our country has seen.
The assault at the LGBT club marked the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history. Check out the celebrity tributes to those who died in the attack:
Donald Trump, Demi Lovato, and Matt Bomer are just a few of the celebrities paying their respects via social media.
Chloe Grace Moretz began a lengthy Instagram post by saying, “June 12th marks the day where just one year ago some of the most horrific events unfolded inside pulse nightclub. Let us spend our day today in mourning the loss of the 49 beautiful and innocent souls that got stolen from us in a disgusting and ignorant act of terrorism…”
And Billy Eichner posted a photo of all the victims who lost their lives and added the caption, “One year later. Never Forget.”
And Miranda, 37 — who memorably said, “Love is love is love is love is love is love is love is love,” in a sonnet dedicated to the Pulse victims at the 2016 Tony Awards — shared similar sentiments. “A year later, and the loss and the shock still feels like just this morning,” he tweeted. “Thinking about you today Orlando. Always.”
