Jonathan David and his work
Jonathan David cares for the health and grooming of celebrity dogs. He owns the Lap of Luxury Dog Spa situated in Delray Beach, Fla. Jonathan is, also seen in shows “Dogs 101” and “Groomer Has It” aired on Animal Planet.
Jonathan firmly believes that grooming and health of a dog go hand-in-hand. He is an expert in the country in canine health care, nutrition, and well-being.
He is well-known in New York City and Los Angeles as a canine stylist.
Jonathan David and his career beginnings
His work with canines started when as a teenager he worked in the show ring and was specialized in the care of Australian Shepherds and Chinese Crested Dogs. He later joined the famous Nash Academy of Grooming in Manhattan.
He was working at a grooming shop in the Upper East part of Manhattan where he met Debi Mazor. She wanted a glamor cut for her two pooches-Delores and Lorraine. Jonathan gave the dogs a continental cut and impressed Debi with it.
His fame spread by word of mouth and he began drawing celebrity crowds as clients. Jonathan has received several awards for his brilliant scissoring in 2008 and 2009.
Jonathan David and his own style products for dogs
The famed dog groomer, Jonathan has his own collection of canine-style products called NYCanine Clean. Made from Rooibos tea and derived from a South African herbal formula, the products soothe sensitive skin and are meant for a variety of dermatological conditions.
Jonathan said:
“I’m creating a variety of products to accommodate the various canine coats: conditioning spray for longer coats, coat oil for both short and long coats.”
He added:
“Dogs are my life and making them look and feel good is my passion, I aim to educate owners so that all canines can live the fabulous life with that ultimate East Coast flare.”
