American singer, Charlie Puth, 32 married his lady love, Brooke Sansone on 7 September 2024. It was a joyous moment for both and their families. But Charlie had become quite emotional and fumbled with his wedding vows.

Charlie Puth talks about his emotions during his wedding

The famous American singer, Charlie Puth, 32 is a married man now. He exchanged wedding vows with his fiancee, Brooke Sansone last month on the 7th. Both were excited and Charlie revealed now that he had become extremely emotional at the time of saying his wedding vows.

He was trembling and in tears due to the high emotions. This affected his recital of his wedding vows. Despite preparing well for the occasion, Charlie fumbled while reading the vows. He told People magazine:

“I had practiced it so many times, and I was reading it with such confidence. I thought I sounded like Barack Obama reading a speech. I got up there and I was trembling and crying, but I was just so happy. I think my happiness overtook me,”

The relationship timeline of the couple

Charlie and Brooke have been friends from their childhood days. They knew each other since then. But they were not dating at that time.

Vogue magazine has stated that the two fell in love only two years back. They started dating in June 2022. On 5 September last year, Charlie felt that Brooke was his soulmate and he wanted her as his life partner. Hence, he proposed to her and she said yes.

For the proposal, Charlie specially traveled all the way from Los Angeles to New York City. And he chose the time of 11.11 pm to ask her for her hand. And on 7 September this year, they walked down the aisle together.

Charlie shared a video of the big day in his social media and wrote:

“Today I stand before you Brooke, And I can’t help but realize today is truly the happiest I’ve been. In my 32 years of life. Some things I could not predict, but one thing has always been clear, yes somehow I seemed to have always known, I’d be standing with you up here.”

The venue of the wedding

Earlier, Charlie and Brooke wanted to have a grand celebration on that day. They had thought of a welcome party before the wedding day. However, there was a change of plans. Hence, later, the two had an intimate wedding at Charlie’s home with only relatives and close friends as guests. Talking about it, Charlie explained:

“It was just infinitely more special. Everywhere I look, at my parents’ house, our house, all around town. The town got so much more special for me because of all the wedding memories. I look at the beach and thought, ‘OK, that’s where we all were the next day, and reminiscing about last night’.”

Brooke is also a native of New Jersey like Charlie. She holds a degree in marketing from the College of Charleston in South Carolina. She obtained this degree in the year 2021.
