A pet dog attack could potentially turn into a nightmare and financially draining for the owner. This seems to be in the case of Chris Brown, 34. The American rapper’s ex-housekeeper has charged him with negligence and has sued him and claimed USD 71 million in damages. Recently, she provided photos of the injuries as evidence in court.

The ex-housekeeper of Chris Brown reveals photos of her serious injuries

American rapper, Chris Brown had a housekeeper who worked for him in 2020. It was 12 December 2020 when the housekeeper, who goes by the pseudo name of Jane Doe in the legal documents, was taking out the trash from Chris Brown’s California home. At that time, suddenly a Caucasian Orvchake/Caucasian Shepherd dog called Hades came and attacked her. The owner of the dog was Chris.

The dog gave Jane grievous injuries on her face, arms, and legs. As per her legal papers:

“The injuries are devastating injuries she suffered as a result of the defendant’s negligent care and control of the vicious dog on his property that he let roam free, and this was the consequence.”

Additionally, she required medical assistance, hospitalization, and suturing for these dog-given injuries. Moreover, she has undergone a lot of emotional trauma due to it.

The court papers reveal that Chris ordered the dog to be taken out. The attacking dog was thrown in a pond in Humboldt County and euthanized. Her lawyer stated that the dog’s chip confirmed the owner to be Chris.

However, Chris denies any wrongdoing and wants the court to dispose of the case. The rapper added that Jane used to mistreat the dog:

“She voluntarily teased, abused, and mistreated the dog and thereby provoked the attack.”

As per his lawyer:

“[Doe] invited the injuries now complained of and assumed the risk of them with full knowledge of the magnitude of that risk, in that she knew her foregoing conduct might cause the dog to attack her, and seriously injure her, both of which events are alleged to have occurred.”

Also, Chris did not depose in this lawsuit because of a default that was entered wrongly against him. His stand is that only after the default is vacated will he depose in the case. But Jane does not want to vacate the default. She asserted that he was served the lawsuit well but did not respond within the deadline period.

Jane had stated that after the attack, she feared for her life. The physical and emotional injuries were too extensive and traumatizing for her. Moreover, there are cosmetic effects on her face and scars on her arms and legs due to the aftermath of the injuries. All these would require several surgical procedures. Therefore, Jane has demanded USD 71 million as damages and compensation from Chris.

On top of this, Jane’s sister, Patricia has also sued the rapper and demanded damages from him. She states that she underwent severe emotional distress as she watched Chris’ dog fiercely attacking her sister.
