Split alert! Chrissy Metz and Bradley Collins are no longer a romantic couple. The couple called it quits on their relationship after more than three years of dating.
They shared the breakup news via a joint Instagram post on Friday, October 6, while clarifying it was a consensual decision to split up.
“After three and a half years together, we’ve decided to end our romantic relationship amicably. While we continue to love each other very much, we believe this is the best path for us both.”
“We still have books to write, songs to sing, and a special friendship to keep us in each other’s lives forever.”
The split comes five months after the pair celebrated their third dating anniversary in May of this year. The actress and singer, 43, shared a series of pictures of them together and captioned it,
“Three Whole years, Babe, and through a pandemic and all! Look at us just loving each other and creating together. Growing and learning from one another. YOu are a dream to me. Happy 3rd Anniversary, my love, @bradley_collins”

How did Chrissy Metz meet Bradley Collins?
The now-former couple met on a dating app called Bumble during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown.
Chrissy shared her first impression of Collins when she slid on his profile for the first time during her appearance on Andy Cohen’s SiriusXM Radio Andy Show. She recalled,
“I do remember seeing a guy’s picture and he was an aspiring writer and he had a This Is Us coffee and I was like, ‘Oh, I can’t, I can’t. That would just be too weird, And then I was like, ‘Oh, that’s sweet. But, like, I can’t.’ So yeah, of course, you talk to a couple people and it’s just like, ‘Oh, we’re not clicking. We’re not vibing.'”
In October 2020, the “This Is Us” star went Instagram official with her relationship with Bradley Collins. She shared a series of photos featuring Collins alongside a sweet caption,
“Happy #NationalBoyfriendDay to my dreamboat, Bradley, from the first moment I laid eyes on you I wanted and needed to know you. Now I feel so lucky to love you. You can #Collinsmesmitten for sure! Thank you for being the absolute wonder that you are, I love you.”
They also co-written a children’s book together titled When I Talk to God, I Talk About You, published in February this year. Bradley gushed about the experiences during an interview with E! News. He said,
“Writing the book was a lot of fun because we really talked a lot about our childhood and got to know each other through it, Her voice is so incredible, and it just really brought all the characters from the book to life. It complements each other, the whole book is about finding your purpose.”
Further, the two also collaborated on an accompanying lullaby album, Prayed For This Day.
