Cody Longo passed away at an early age! What’s the cause of his death?
Days of Our Lives actor Cody Longo is no longer alive among us. The soap opera star was found dead on Wednesday, February 8, at his home in Austin, Texas. He was just 34.
His death was confirmed by his wife, Stephane Longo, in a heartbreaking statement that reads,
“Cody was our whole world. The kids and I are shattered and beyond devastated. He was the best dad and best father. We will always and forever miss you and love you.”
Cody is survived by his wife Stephanie Longo, and three children Lyla, 7, Elijah, 5, and Noah, 18 months.
His representative, Alex Gittelson, also mourns the loss of beloved Cody Longo, stating,
“Cody was a dear friend, going back many years, before he was a client. My heart breaks for his amazing wife and kids. He had taken some time away from acting to pursue his music career and spend more time with his family in Nashville, but we had kept in touch regularly and he was excited to get back into acting this year.

He then concluded his statement while gushing about the late Cody.
Cody was such a loyal, loving and talented person and he will be greatly missed.”
The cause of his death has yet to be announced, however, Gittelson cited alcohol poisoning in Cody’s demise.
Further, many took to social media platforms to pay tribute to the beloved actor and outpour deep condolence to his family.
What was Cody Longo best known for?
Cody Longo was an American actor and as well as a musician. He got his breakthrough in his career through his leading role Eddie Duran in the Nickelodeon series Hollywood Heights.
Like, he was known for roles on shows such as Freeform’s gymnastics series Make It or Break It and ABC’s Nashville. The actor also starred in movies such as Balls Don’t Lie, and Fame. Prior to his death, he had been working on his upcoming movie, Do You Want to Die in Indio, with director David Moreton.
Longo had also a successful music career. In 2012, he started his music career with the release of his first single. He then signed with Forever The Day and released their second EP titled Letters of Letting Go on February 13th, 2012.
In August, he parted ways with Forever The Day signed with Mirrorball Entertainment, and debuted his single titled “Atmosphere”. His single reached in third position on the iTunes Pop Charts and entered the Top 100 Billboard Emerging Artists charts in 2013.
Furthermore, she released other singles such as “Falling Into You”, “She Said”, “Electric”, “Falling Into You”, “What Up Tho”, and more.
Cody’s legal battles throughout his life
Cody went through various personal and legal turmoil throughout his life. In 2013, he was first arrested for a DUI in Los Angeles. As a part of a plea deal, he had joined alcohol education classes.
In January 2020, he was accused on suspicion of sexual assault of a 9-year-old girl during a 2019 trip to Colorado. The following year, he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor assault charge stemming from the incident.
Similarly, Longo was arrested for domestic assault on his wife after a confrontation at their home in Clarksville, Tenn. The following month, the pair filed for divorce, however, the case was disposed of in 2022.
