Before stepping in Fox News, she served as the 26^th White House Press Secretary under President George W. Bush.

Her travel to Whitehouse during childhood

When Dana was just 7 years old, she went to Washington, D.C. with her parents. While on her travel, she also went to the White House. At the time she visited Whitehouse, Bob Beckel was working in the West Wing at the time.

She shared the moment with Fox News saying:

“According to my parents, that trip made quite an impression on me. When we returned home, they say I stood on a milk box outside the front door with the American flag my dad flew and declared, “One day I am going to work in the White House.”

Dana Perino was once an overnight country music disc jockey. During her college days, back in 1992, the infamous song by Billy Ray Cyrus,’ ‘Achy Breaky Heart,’ was at the top of the charts. She played the song the hour every hour, so it remained in her head for many years.

Her resignation from the WhiteHouse before being press secretary

After serving for more than two years as deputy press secretary, she decided to resign from the White House. At the time, she was about to become the next White House, press secretary.

Her married life is not different from her career, as both are successful in their own way. She tied the knot with her boyfriend, Peter McMahon in 1998. The duo met in 1996 and started dating after some time.

The couple is happy in their married life with each other with no rumors of divorce or split-up. They do not have any kids to date but they may be planning in the near future.
