Meredith revealed that she was Patton’s fan and loved him since she was 15 years old. She wrote,

“I️ have admired, loved, and respected this magical human since I️ was 15 years old,”

Wedding Event

The couple tied the knot on 17 November 2017. Their wedding ceremony was a traditional Jewish ceremony in the Jim Henson Company Lot in Hollywood.

His daughter Alice was a flower girl at their wedding.

 

Meredith on her husband said,

“I think for Patton, having met and found love after over a year of intense therapy and openly grieving and dealing with his pain…I am grateful to be the one who helps him climb out of the depth of grief and find some joy again. Alice is happy and feels loved. I have waited 47 years to find true love. Creating our family unit while honoring the brilliant gift Michelle has given me will be my life’s goal and happiness. I am deeply in love with boy Patton and Alice and very much looking forward to a beautiful happy life having adventures together.”

She has accepted his daughter wholeheartedly. She tweeted,

His favorite moment during the wedding

Patton said that one of his best moments during his wedding with Meredith was while he was standing up at the altar and his daughter came down the aisle with a bunch of flowers and hugged him.

“My favorite moment was when I was standing up at the altar and my daughter came down the aisle — she was a flower girl. And she just spontaneously gave me this huge hug. It was like, we’re safe now. Things are OK. I almost started crying. I was so happy the way that she held me. Like, things are OK now. It felt amazing. That moment.”

Patton on his daughter and her new stepmom

Patton says that Meredith is a very strong lady and he says that she will be a very good mother to his daughter. He said,

“She’s just an example of the kind of woman I want Alice to grow up to be. You can be a good mom but not be [the] kind of thing that you want a kid to emulate. And Meredith is both.”

His first wife’s death

Patton’s first wife, Michelle Eileen McNamara died in sleep on 21 April 2016. Her death was so sudden that the crime writer had to interfere. They said that her death was due to the combination of prescription medicines and an undiagnosed heart condition.
