The inside sources revealed the singer and her fiance Max have called off her engagement. They explained it was a tough decision to take but they decided to part ways. Furthermore, the source stated:
“Demi and Max have decided to go their separate ways to focus on their respective careers. They have respect and love for one another and will always cherish the time they spent together.”
When all the fans were desperately waiting for the date of her wedding, she announced her split. Max went down the his knees to propose to the singer just two months before in July.
The couple who started dating in March got engaged in Malibu this July.

Why did they decide to split?
The American singer ended her relationship with Max just 6 months later. As per the source, Max was aware of their split before the news was on the Internet. On the other hand, Max claimed he got to know about it through the tabloid.
This Saturday, he posted a series of Instagram stories on his account. In the story, he mentioned that he found out his relationship ended through the tabloid. Max wrote:
“Imagine finding out about the status of your relationship through a tabloid. While your [sic] in the middle of filming a biopic movie about a Pastor in a Christian Church whose intention of the film is to help people,”
He then ended his series of posts by writing ‘God Bless’. Demi and Max were in quarantine together and had all the time to themselves. The two were just having time for their relationship without worrying about their hectic work schedule.
However, things started going downhill for the couple just a week before the actor left for Los Angeles for his film project.
Moreover, one of Max’s old tweets where he was gushing about Selena Gomez went viral on social media. At the time, Lovato came forward to claim that the tweets were fake.
Meanwhile, the actor deleted his Twitter which made any queries impossible to answer for everyone out there.
The relationship between the couple
The social media post of Demi and Max displayed the couple’s love for their fans. Back in July, the singer posted a series of pictures to announce her engagement.
She also gave a closeup of the sumptuous ring on her finger. the first spark of a couple’s dating came around at the beginning of 2020.
In March, they finally addressed their dating earlier this year. However, they never confirmed when they started dating. The singer gushed about getting engaged on the Internet.
