It was a time for celebration for the engaged-to-marry couple, American singer and songwriter, Demi Lovato, 32 and her fiancé, the Toronto-based musical artist, Jordan ‘Jutes’ Lutes, 33. It was the first anniversary of their engagement!

One year back, on 16th December 2023, Jordan ‘Jutes’ Lutes, 33 the boyfriend of American singer, Demi Lovato, 32 had proposed to her. And on 16th December 2024, the two celebrated the first anniversary of their engagement.

To mark this great day in their life, each of them posted sweet tributes on their social media. Jutes uploaded a throwback pic of the moment that he proposed to Demi. The caption of this post was:

“1 year of being engaged to my favorite person. I’m so lucky and can’t wait to marry u baby.”

In turn, Demi reposted the same photo on her Instagram Stories and wrote below it:

“I love you infinitely and cannot wait to call you my husband!!!”

The couple’s relationship timeline

The meeting of Demi with Jutes was when she was writing the songs for her album, Holy Fvck. Jutes was the co-writer on this album with her. They started a friendship that soon blossomed into romance. This was in January 2022.

The couple took another seven months to officially go public with their romantic relationship in August 2022. Demi had confessed to SiriusXM last year on how they began their romantic journey. She said:

“We became friends first,”

Demi continued:

“We were friends for several months and then we decided to start dating and, well, after we told each other how we felt.”

On 16 December 2023, Jutes went down on one knee and proposed to the melody queen. Demi said yes. The couple is not in any rush to make it to the altar. They are enjoying their engaged life and taking each step at their own pace. In September 2014, Jutes revealed to People:
