Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo’s divorce proceedings
Bryan Abasolo filed for divorce from Rachel Lindsay in January 2024, citing “irreconcilable differences.”
He stated that they had been living separately since December 31, 2023, and also requested spousal support from Lindsay.

Lindsay, for her part, spoke out about the divorce filing days later expressing surprise at her emotions. She shared on her “Higher Learning” podcast,
“I didn’t think I would get emotional. … First off I just want to say thank you for people who reached out. I’m still trying to reply to people. You just never know how great your circle is until you see all the people that reach out and love you. Obviously it’s a difficult time, if you’ve read the headlines, and you’re probably wondering why I would even work. But to be honest with you I need to distract myself from myself and the best way to do that is to do something that I love and I love ‘Higher Learning.”
Furthermore, Lindsay noted she decided to take her split “day by day” and would share more details “eventually,” but felt it was not yet the right time.
Rachel Lindsay shares candid insights on marriage struggles and divorce
On December 3, 2024, Rachel appeared as a guest on The View, where the former Bachelor mentioned that she noticed red flags with her former husband, Bryan Abasolo, before they got married.
During a discussion about Nikki Garcia and Artem Chigvintsev’s divorce, the reality tv star said that she could relate to Garcia’s feelings of public pressure to maintain the relationship.
“I know this all too well right now. For those of you who don’t know, I met my ex on The Bachelor. We’re currently going through a divorce right now, and it’s really interesting,”
She continued,
“We met, we dated for two and a half years, we went and got married. And we were looked at as one of the more successful relationships that came from the show. Anywhere I went, people would ask me about my relationship…. And you feel the public pressure to always let people know that things are great, even though behind closed doors, that might not be the case — or you’re working on it, or you’re having a bad day or whatever it might be,”
“A lot of that is wrapped up in shame. You don’t want to say that it fell. You’re scared, you don’t want people to see you in a different way,”

She opened up more when hosts Abby Huntsman and Whoopi Goldberg asked Lindsay about her marriage doubts. The reality TV star claimed,
“It’s even hard to admit it publicly now. I would say that probably I saw signs before the marriage, but as women, we’re fixers and we think that we can figure it out. They’re a challenge to us! But eventually I saw it more. I would say within two years, and we were married for four and a half.”
After discussing her struggles and the pressure in her relationship, Lindsay also gave some advice.
“Your identity becomes wrapped up in the relationship and you’re afraid that’s the only way people see you. But I’m here to tell you, it’s not. You can take your power back, you can find your power within. No one has to dim their light.”
