What happened to Dixie D’Amelio?

Dixie D’Amelio, 21, was taken to the hospital via ambulance on Thursday, May 18, after she felt ‘faint’ as she is having a hectic day nowadays.

The TikTok star, 21, has expanded her career portfolio as a side hustle, establishing her own brands. She launched her own footwear brand, D’Amelio Footwear, along with her younger sister Charli and mother Heidi.

On Thursday, she worked in the late afternoon while preparing for her footwear brand launch. However, the social media sensation suddenly fell unconscious and as a precaution, she was rushed to the hospital.

She was photographed in the back of an ambulance lying on the stretcher in West Hollywood, California. An insider later reported,

“She was treated at the hospital for dehydration and is now feeling much better,”

Dixie also gave an additional update of her own via Snapchat, sharing a selfie as she sat on a hospital bed while hooked up to a few monitors. In another shot, she shared a selfie of herself writing next to the photo, “got too excited about the show launch”.

Further, Charli shared an update on her sister’s health during the D’Amelio footwear launch, while speaking to Entertainment Tonight,

“She was just dehydrated, and she got some fluids. But she’s gonna be at the D’Amelio Footwear launch tonight, so you will see her. She is coming, she’s just getting ready right now”.

Dixie D’Amelio attended her footwear launch event despite being hospitalized

Hours after Dixie was released from the hospital she showed up at the D’Amelio Footwear event in LA.

For the launch event party, she opted for all-black wearing a bandeau top and matching maxi skirt. She is accessorized with a shining neck pendant, a pair of matching earrings, and some rings on her fingers.

Similarly, she styled her newly platinum locks slicked back into a ponytail.

This is the TikTok star’s first venture in the world of entrepreneurship. D’Amelio Footwear offers a variety of styles and categories, such as sneakers, heels, boots, and also sandals.
