Cosmetic surgery is increasingly being used as an aid to enhance natural beauty and correct any bizarre variations of the body, especially by the high-profile wealthy class and celebrities.
Dr. Harold Lancer is a well-known dermatologist who caters to such A-list clientele which includes Beyonce, Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez, Margot Robbie, and the like.
Dr. Harold Lancer’s recent interview
Dr. Harold Lancer had a recent talk session with THR and he highlighted the most popular products and procedures which have fascinated these affluent classes.
He disclosed that invasive surgeries have been replaced by minimally-invasive procedures and more and more celebrities are utilizing them to enhance their looks, body image, and hence their confidence.
The top of the list
Dr. Harold Lancer revealed that the procedures which are the most used are Botox and liposuction. But there are now new technologies which are ‘mini Babytox dosages’ and ‘mini lipo sculpting’.
Instead of lipo sculpting the entire area of six-pack abs, celebrities now want to do it in smaller areas such as the fat underneath their chins.
Similarly, the butt implants which were popularized by the Kardashian clan are now out! Dr. Harold said of this procedure:
“The fad of gigantic butt augmentation is on its way out; people wanting distortion of their rear end is in its last death throes,”
So what has taken its place? Well, it is lifted noses and fuller earlobes. There are filters available that are used to turn up the nose tip and earlobe injections are also finding their way into the cosmetic surgery consultation.
These procedures are an attempt to overcome the effect of aging on the body and not let it appear on the face area.
Dr. Jeffrey’s opinions and views
Renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Jeffrey Rockmore also agreed that the earlobe procedure is gaining popularity amongst the rich and desirous people. He explained:
“As we age, our earlobes continue to grow and this can contribute to an older look for some men and women. In some cases, they deflate as well. This can be improved by grafting fat into the lobes to make them more full and youthful looking,”
He added:
“Nonsurgical treatments are certainly skyrocketing. Patients don’t want to deal with the downtime and costs associated with surgical procedures so they will look to alternatives like Coolculpting, Ultherapy, non-surgical Brazilian butt lifts, no-knife neck lifts or liquid nose jobs, etc. New injectables are becoming available all the time, and the demand continues to grow as people become familiar with the natural results that can be obtained,”
Other new modalities in cosmetic surgery
Dr. Harold also stated that more and more women are going for micro-needling of their cleavage.
Micro-needling is puncturing of the skin with extremely tiny sterile needles which is said to stimulate the growth of collagen and elastin in the skin and this is anti-aging. The cleavage lines are thus eliminated.
There is also something called radiofrequency micro-needling and this could help to increase nipple projection by 2-3 millimeters.
More and more young people are going for all these procedures and it is no more restricted to Hollywood. Also, the common notion that it is mostly women who resort to plastic surgery no longer holds.
More men are looking for these aids to enhance their appearances. Talking about the percentage change, Dr. Harold said:
“five years ago, men were one in 20 patients getting cosmetic surgery; now it’s more like one in eight.”
