Dr. Jeff Young is a veterinary doctor who resides and has his clinic in Denver, Colorado. He has a clinic named Planned Pethood Plus (PPP) which caters to the dogs of owners who cannot afford normal vet charges.

Dr. Jeff Young and his early life
He is now 63 years old born on 14 April 1956. He was only 8 when his pet dog was hit by a car and died in his arms. But, he was unable to save it. At that moment, he decided to become a vet when he grew up. He said in an interview:
“I remember loving summer because I stayed with my dad and his relatives at a dairy farm. We churned our own butter and plowed our own fields. Animals and nature were everywhere! Pigs, dogs, cows, apple orchards, strawberry patches, that’s where and when my interest developed. I’ve always wanted to be a vet”
His parents divorced when he was, small. Jeff’s mother Ester Stevens remarried and he has a stepbrother called Jay.
His dad was in the military and Jeff used to move around with him and attended different schools. He liked this varying experience. After high school graduation, Jeff joined Colorado State University to study veterinary medicine. He finished his graduation in 1989.

Jeff first joined a mobile clinic in Denver where he worked for two years. He got a call from the AAF (Animal Assistance Foundation) for a job in an actual vet clinic.
Jeff paid a deposit of $ 5000 and started the clinic. He has now been running it for the past 25 years but at the start, he never intended to run it for so long. The clinic has discounted rates for the treatment of the pets of the locals. He also owns a van that provides mobile clinic service.
He uses it every 1-2 days especially for the Rocky’s. Jeff has over 10k clients on his list and has done nearly 160k spaying/neutering surgeries. He also has clinics in Slovakia and Mexico.

The vet is on the show “Dr. Jeff – Rocky Mountains Vet” on Animal Planet. The show debuted in 2015. In 2016, he revealed to his fans that he has B-cell lymphoma. Jeff underwent surgery and chemotherapy for it. He cut his long hair short. But luckily, he has since then recovered. He has a net worth of $200k.

The reality TV star was married earlier. The name of his first wife is not known. He has three children from his previous relationship. His daughter Melody is also part of the show. He married a second time, and his wife Petra Mickova is from Slovakia. She is also a veterinary medicine graduate and began work at his clinic. They have no children yet.
