The 9th Earl Spencer and the brother of the late Princess Diana Spencer, Earl Charles Spencer, 60 is dating podcast co-host and archaeologist, Cat Jarman, 43 after his third divorce.

Charles is happy in this relationship. Recently, he helped praises for Cat on his social media.

Charles wrote on his X handle:

The relationship of the couple

It was in 2021 that Charles met Cat when she was filming a documentary film for channel 4. The shooting was on Althorp estate which happens to be the residence of Charles. Cat was with her TV crew at that time and she had helped Charles in learning about a Roman villa that existed on Althorp estate.

In June 2024, Charles divorced his third wife, Karen Gordon. The same month, Charles was spotted with Cat enjoying a theater in London. It was only in October 2024 that Charles confirmed that he was dating Cat. This he did on the show Good Morning Britain.

Later, in November the same year, Charles expressed that he feels himself with Cat and enjoys her company. And now, he has tweeted praise for her. Both have deep love and respect for each other.

Who is Cat Jarman?

Cat is a multi-talented individual. She hails from Norway and was born there in 1982. She is professionally an archaeologist and also a TV presenter and an author. Her area of specialization is the Vikings. She holds a PhD in archaeology from the University of Bristol.

Cat is a consultant on history for TV and other mass media. She also has a podcast on history The Rabbit Hole Detectives along with Richard Coles and Charles Spencer.

Cat has penned three books until now. Her first book released in 2021 and carries the title River Kings: A new history of the Vikings from Scandinavia to the Silk Roads.

Later, in 2023, she wrote The Bone Chests: Unlocking the Secrets of the Anglo-Saxons. Both books have received critical acclaim.

Her third book The Rabbit Hole Book released last year and its publisher is Michael Joseph.

Cat has also presented some episodes of the 9th and 11th series of the TV show Digging for Britain on BBC Two.

Charles was married to British former model, Victoria Lockwood, 59 in 1989 but they divorced in 1997. He has four children with her.

Later, he wed Caroline Freud in 2001 but they split in 2007. Caroline was the ex-wife of businessman, Matthew Freud. He has two children with her.

His third marriage to Canadian social entrepreneur, Karen Gordon, 52 was from 2011 to 2024. They share one daughter together.
