Emily Weiss is engaged
Glossier founder Emily Weiss shared some good news with her fans on Wednesday 18 March 2020. She announced her engagement stating that her boyfriend tech entrepreneur Will Gaybrick has gone down on one knee and proposed to her.
Uploading a photo of the couple hugging each other, she wrote below it:
“So, a week ago, we got engaged. (!),”
“Even during the wildest most uncertain times, there are silver linings.”
She was obviously referring to the coronavirus pandemic which has shocked the world and caused an economical meltdown and social lockdown.
Emily, 38 also showed off her huge diamond engagement ring. It is a gorgeous emerald-cut sparkler that is set on a platinum band.
The couple’s relationship timeline
After her divorce from her ex-husband Diego Duenas, Emily started dating Will Gaybrick. Will is also 34 years of age and works as the chief financial officer at payment startup Stripe. He is also the chief product officer there.
The couple made their relationship public on their social media in January 2019. Will has since been seen in several of her Instagram posts. They make an adorable couple. They have yet to announce their wedding plans.
Previously, Emily was married to Diego Dueñas. The wedding took place in the Bahamas in 2016 and it was a lavish yet intimate affair. But soon after the couple broke up.
Emily Weiss and her life and career
The CEO of Glossier Inc. grew up in Connecticut in Wilton. Her mother was a homemaker while her father worked with Pitney Bowes. While doing her high school, Emily also interned at Ralph Lauren for two summers. She was also into modeling for some time.

Emily was extremely hardworking and during g her college life did an internship with Teen Vogue. While here, she got a chance to star in The Hills show. She completed her degree in Studio Arts from New York University in the year 2007.
Emily took up the post of a fashion assistant at W magazine. Additionally, she was an on-set styling assistant for Vogue. She launched her own blog of beauty and grooming routines called Into the Gloss in September 2010.
Her blog was successful and she got some partnerships and a small staff of her own. She then was confident to quit her Vogue job.
The birth of Glossier
In 2014, Emily sought help from venture capitalists to help her expand her business and add e-commerce to it. And Glossier was born. In October of the same year, she introduced the first four products of Glossier on her blog.
These were an all-purpose balm, a facial mist, a sheer skin tint, as well as a moisturizer. Things worked in her favor and soon her brand picked up.
More products came in and included skin serums, masks, shower gel, body lotion, fragrance, lip balms, and many more beauty items.
