The airing began last Sunday and the subject of his divorce with ex-wife, Lucy-Jo Hudson, 41 re-emerged. What has Alan to say on that?

Alan Halsall talks about his divorce

British actor and Coronation Street actor, Alan Halsall, 42 is now in the Australian jungle for the show I’m a Celebrity….Get Me Out Of Here, of which he is a part. When his name came up for the show, people automatically started google searching details about him and his personal life. The topic of his divorce from ex-wife, actress Lucy-Jo Hudson, 41 also popped up.

On Tuesday 19 November 2024 episode of the show, Alan did talk about his divorce and current singlehood. The soap star told co-participant and Northern Irish radio presenter, Dean McCullough, 32:

“Lucy left Corrie in about 2005, then we got married in 2009. We then split up after Sienna was born.”

He added:

“I love what I’ve got, even now I’m on my own, I love it when it’s me and Sienna and that’ll change I’m sure, that’ll be different at some point but I’ve never done dating apps.”

The relationship timeline of the couple

Alan was a cast on the show Coronation Street since 1998. He portrays the character of Tyronne Dobbs in it. Lucy-Jo was also part of the show and she played the role of Katy Harris in it. After meeting Alan on the set of the show, they fell in love with each other and began dating in 2005.

Lucy-Jo and Alan exchanged wedding vows in 2009 on 13th June at Cheshire, England. On 8 September 2013, Lucy-Jo gave birth to their daughter whom they call Sienna-Rae. However, their marital life started breaking up and in March 2016, the couple separated.

They decided to give their marriage a second chance and reconciled a few weeks later. But this did not work and they divorced in May 2018.

Sienna is now 11 years old and both Alan and Lucy-Jo co-parent her. They are on good terms with each other. Lucy-Jo has moved on in life and is now dating actor and Owner of Devine Theatre Company, Lewis Devine. She also gave birth to a child with Lewis, son Carter in 2020.

When Alan entered the jungle for the show, Lucy-Jo did wish him all the best. She posted a video on her Instagram in which she said:

“First of all, me and my ex have been divorced seven years.”
“I actually can’t believe it’s a topic of conversation because it’s pretty boring.”

Further, she added:

“….myself and Lewis will be sat down with Sienna watching the jungle. We wish him nothing but the best.
“We are going to be there for Sienna supporting her throughout this journey because, yes, she’s going to miss her dad.”

Alan Halsall’s body transformation

Amid his divorce, Alan decided to focus on his body and health. He started adopting a healthier lifestyle with good diet and rigorous exercise routine. In 2019, Alan revealed to The Sun that he pays visit to the gym thrice a week. There, he does treadmill, rowing machine, cross trainer and bike. He said:

“I’ve transformed a little bit myself and people have seen that.”
“I like to come [to the gym). I have a pre-workout meal, I work out, then I have a post-workout meal or a swim and a steam.”

Alan’s efforts are showing and his body has undergone a great transformation.

Alan regularly uploads photos of himself exercising in the gym on his social media. His co-star, Colson Smith is also often seen with him in the gym.
