David Liebensohn, a software developer who worked with Kim Kardashian, has become homeless and is living out of his 2011 Toyota Prius.
He holds the reality star responsible for financially ruining him due to the business blunder.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, David said that he lost his $2 million business and his family and home, living in his car to save on rent and showers in the gym.

He explained,
“I thought people might want to know about this story, what have I got to lose right now by telling it?”
“‘I’m literally sleeping in my car. I might as well put all this in a story that people can maybe make some sense out of, and see what happens.I lost my wife, my kids blamed me, they had a rough time at school, they were teenagers at the time and idolized that family – Kim and her sisters – then this happened and it destroyed us.”
With a signboard reading “Kim Kardashian Ruined My URL,” Liebensohn is now commonly spotted on the streets of LA.
What is the relationship between David Liebensohn and Kim Kardashian?
The reality TV star, 42, first met David in 2014 when she was interested in investing in his other app Censorgram.
In 2014, David developed CensorGram to protect social media users’ accounts from bullying and spammers. The app also developed ‘sexy’ emoji content, which attracted Kim’s attention.
Later on, a software developer, 43, invented the Kardashian-themed emoji app called Kimoji alongside his two colleagues. His associates are Narayan Shankar and his cousin Daniel Rice.
In a second, thousands of downloads generated around $1 million for Kimoji. Similarly, the app soon garnered the attention that even Kim’s ex-husband rapped on its record-breaking success on a track from his 2015 song Facts.
Kanye West raps,
“Kimoji just shut down the app store! And we made a million a minute, we made a million a minute!”
Even after the massive success of the app, Liebensohn claimed he didn’t receive a single cent of the fortune made from the app.
In 2019, he even sued Kim for $ 300 million claiming that she stole his idea for the Kimoji app, and ran away with the trademark.
However, Liebensohn willingly signed away all rights to the app, which later consequently was in favor of the SKIMS founder that she “unfettered” ownership of Kimoji.
An arbitrator and an LA Superior Court judge rejected the claims in 2020.
Kardashian’s legal team also forced Liebensohn to withdraw his lawsuit, leaving him penniless and unable to pay for his legal fees.
On the other hand, Kardashian’s team allegedly said that the ex-business partner voluntarily gave up all the rights to the app.
