Abby and Brittany Hensel are dicephalus conjoined twins which is an extremely rare occurrence. They have two heads but they are joined from neck below. The upper part of the torso has two organs but the bloodstream is joined and common. Moreover, they share the same organs below their waist. Abby controls the right side of the common body while Brittany has control over the left side of the body including the upper and lower limbs.

The two were born in 1990 to Patty who is married to Mike. Doctors had suggested separating the twins when they were still a baby. But they also warned about risk of death since it would involve major and multiple surgical interventions. It was highly likely that the two girls would have succumbed on the operation table itself. Hence, Patty and Mike opted to not separate the girls and left everything on the Almighty and their fate.

Abby married Josh Bowling in 2021

The conjoined twins gained fame when they featured on The Oprah show and later also appeared on a TLC reality show. They had appeared on a documentary Joined for life in 2003 and on it they had expressed their desire to have kids. In that documentary, mother Patty had remarked:

“That is probably something that could work because those organs do work for them.”

On 28 March 2024, Today has reported that public records reveal that Abby has secretly married army veteran Josh Bowling in 2021 at Minnesota. Josh has a daughter from a previous relationship.

There are some videos on the social media that show Josh dancing with the twins but planting a kiss only on Abby’s face. All three of them look happy in the posted videos.

Fans are left wondering whether both the women are in a marital relationship with Josh. If not, then what is the role of Brittany in all this? What about her status?

Abby and Brittany hit back at haters

Both the sisters have been reading the news and have immediately responded to the haters of Abby’s wedding on the internet. For this, they uploaded three separate videos on TikTok. They are upset with the buzz surrounding the wedding. In one of the videos, all three of them are seen. The caption below reads:

“This Is a Message To All the Haters Out There. If You Don’t Like What I Do But You Watch Everything I’m Doing You’re Still a Fan.”

The backlash was similar in the other two videos as well. Josh added:

“We wish to keep everything private and will not be doing any interviews.”
