Fashion Designer Carolina Herrera pays tribute to her Late Nephew on Instagram
Carolina is going through a very rough time currently. She lost her nephew as she was kidnapped and then killed. Carolina paid the tribute to her late nephew through Instagram.
She wrote:
“Thank you so much for all your thoughtful messages. The family and I appreciate your kindness. Our only hope is that the tragic assassination of our young nephew, Reinaldo and his colleague, Fabrizio will serve to mitigate the terrible carnage and murders that are committed against our youth in Venezuela. The Electoral Results must be respected. The Communist Dictatorship must go.

According to the confirmation of the Authorities, Reinaldo and Mendoza were found dead inside a truck on a highway near Caracas, Venezuela, on Thursday, May 11.
Going through all the reports, a group of criminals while eating dinner at a Caracas restaurant on Thursday night abducted them.
Career and Relationship of Fashion Designer Carolina Herrera
The successful fashion designer has been in a few relationships in her life. She married Guillermo Behrens Tello, a Venezuelan landowner at the age of 18 in 1957.
They together had two daughters, Mercedes and Ana Luisa. Things couldn’t work out, so the couple decided to divorce. There is not much detail about the couple’s divorce or the reason for the divorce.
Later on, she married Reinaldo Herrera Guevara in 1968. Reinaldo was the host of Buenos Días, a Venezuelan morning television news program.
He is the elder son of Don Reinaldo Herrera Uslar. After the marriage, Carolina Herrera held the title The Marquise consort of Torre Casa.
But it was retarded in 1992, as Reinaldo had issued no son. Recently, her husband is a special-projects editor for Vanity Fair magazine. They together share two daughters, Carolina Adriana and Patricia Cristina, and six grandchildren.
Going through her career, In 1965, Herrera began her career working as a publicist for Emilio Pucci. Afterward, she began working at Pucci’s Caracas boutique and moved to New York in 1980.
After their frequent work with Mick and Bianca Jagger and Andy Warhol, at Studio 54, people started knowing her for her dramatic style.
In 1972, she first appeared on the International Best Dressed List. Moreover, she was elected to its Hall of Fame in 1980. The same year, Spanish fragrance company Puig licensed the Carolina Herrera name to develop and market a line of perfumes.
In July 2016 Herrera announced the release of her new women’s fragrance to be available for purchase in September, her biggest fragrance launch in 14 years. The scent is called ‘Good Girl’ and Karlie Kloss is the face of the fragrance.
In 2008, she was honored with the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award from the Council of Fashion Designers of America and “Womenswear Designer of the Year” in 2004.
Herrera is a recipient of The International Center in New York’s Award of Excellence as well as Spain’s Gold Medal for Merit in the Fine Arts, which King Juan Carlos presented here in 2002.
She received the Fashion Group International Superstar Award, the Style Awards Designer of the Year in 2012, and the “Mercedes-Benz Presents” title for her 2011 collection. She has been on the cover of Vogue seven times.
