Princess Catherine makes a style statement with yet another Wimbledon outfit
Princess Catherine never fails to impress with her fashion choices.
The royal wore a bright green dress by Self Portrait as she arrived at the Wimbledon 2023 women’s singles final in England on Saturday.
The princess rocked the $615 designer dress as she watched Ons Jabeur and Marketa Vondrousova battle it out for the top spot in tennis.
The future queen, 41, who is the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club looked stunning in her lime green bouclé chiffon midi dress and purple-and-green Wimbledon ribbon as she arrived for the exciting match.
This marked the Princess of Wales’s second royal appearance at Wimbledon this year. Her first outing on day two of the championships was marked by a vintage, 80s-inspired look that was a nod to her late mother-in-law Princess Diana.
For the match, the mother of three wore a mint green Balmain blazer paired with a pleated white maxi skirt, exactly like what Diana wore to Trooping the Colour in 1988.
While Catherine often sports tennis whites to Wimbledon over the years, she has played with brighter colors and patterns over the years.
Fans thought the princess’s look was a winner and praised her mix of traditional yet modern outfits on social media.
One wrote,
”The Princess of Wales living up to her namesake title and looking fabulous as always.”
Another wrote,
”She is the definition of grace and elegance.”
A third person tweeted,
”She looks absolutely stunning. No one does Wimbledon fashion quite like Princess Catherine. So graceful and classy.”
Another royal fan commented,
”Not many could pull that color off, I think, but on her, with her hair, that’s a great color!”
Designers Catherine has worn at Wimbledon since her wedding
The princess thoroughly enjoyed the sport and chatted with former tennis stars Billie Jean King and Martina Navratilova.
Catherine comforted Jabeur with a hug and then congratulated Vondrousova as she took the Wimbledon crown.
Catherine has attended the championships every year since she married Prince William except for 2013 when she was expecting Prince George and in 2020 when COVID-19 canceled the historical event for the first time since WWII.
During her first Wimbledon appearance as a Royal in 2011, the then-new Duchess of Cambridge wore a tiered and sporty white dress by Temperley London.
The sleeveless dress featured a tennis skirt-styled pleating and interesting petal detailing at the shoulders and back which was a hit for her royal Wimbledon debut.
The princess has worn clothes by designers like Alexander McQueen, Zimmermann, L.K Bennett, Dolce & Gabbana, Jenny Peckham, Catherine Walker, etc to the event over the years.
