Since 2012, Chateau Miraval has been manufacturing acclaimed Provence rosé wines. It is co-owned by Brad, Angelina, and the Perrin family of Château de Beaucastel in Châteauneuf-du-Pape.

There was a report in February 2020 that stated that the co-owners of Chateau Miraval are collaborating with the Péters family in Champagne to embark on a new project.

About rose champagnes and the new champagne

There are two methods by which rose champagnes are produced. In the first method, a small proportion of red wine to the mixture. In method number two, the juice is allowed to remain in contact with the grape skins for a short time during fermentation.

The second method is called rosé de saignée and is not common. And this is also the method used in the making of this new special, Fleur de Miraval. But it is a method similar to the one used in the making of Provence rosé at Miraval.

Further, it is revealed that the rose is aged on the lees in the dark cellars in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger for three years. Additionally, champagne is rather sensitive to sunlight and UV rays. Hence, the Fleur de Miraval bottle has a lacquer finish to prevent exposure of the wine to harmful sun rays.

Brad is very passionate about wines and was actively involved in making this new wine. Therefore, the product is the result of the work of three families passionate about wines. They also have multiple and complementary experiences.
